How about the fact that this game was just as important as yesterday’s game. There are 30 conference games, each one is important. Series wins don’t really mean anything. If you can get 20 wins, you usually win the conference/ doesn’t matter which 20 out of the 30 you win. So yes. Today was an important win and a BIG WIN. And we should celebrate. Just like we should after every win.

It's not that complicated. A win keeps us in the conversation to host a regional. Whether it's likely or not doesn't matter to me at this point. Is that where we thought we would be before the season started? No. Is that living up LSU standards? a) Tiger baseball win against an SEC rival. Does anyone still enjoy a stuck pig squealing?
b) Stopped the bleeding and snapped a 5 game losing streak
c) Keeps hope alive to host a regional
d) Hal Hughes had a heckuva day
e) Antoine was clutch. Walker and Marceaux had solid outings. Peterson pitched well.
f) No errors.
Anything that adds to Tiger success and fame I celebrate including salvaging a win in a series.

No we don’t celebrate series losses, but can take satisfaction in stopping a 5-game losing streak, knocking off a high ranked team and getting something positive after a tough week.

I remember when this board collectively made fun of Alabama a few years ago for dogpiling after taking game 3 of a series in which we won. Sad this site is now essentially dogpiling on the internet. This series was still embarrassing. We still have no leaders out there. We still lost the series.
