Is LSU baseball now at the point where we don’t celebrate a win? It’s possible to do so without celebrating the series loss.

Serious question.

Is it?

Here is my serious question. If LSU is in the losers bracket in a regional and wins a gam there, is celebrating that win the same as celebrating being in the losers bracket?

And you think 1 game solves the programs problems? Serious question.
Hardly. A win is a win and something to build on, rather than another L. This team definitely needs another year to gel, heal and get better.
They aren't the first to fall below preseason expectations and all this pouting won't help further the cause.
Be happy for no sweep by #4.

LSU didn’t give up and didn’t get swept after losing two games by a large margin. This shouldn’t be complex to comprehend even for below average IQ persons.

Lol. No one is saying this game solved lsus problems.
And to yiur dumb multi sport comparison with no 3 game series, id imagine if kentucky played duke one, and lost, north carolina the next and lost, and then beat duke after coming from behind by 10 points, they would celebrate that win for a couple hours

You certainly don't seem to be enjoying the win with your original post. I'm extremely happy with the game today. It doesn't change the disappointment over some poor play this year but I'm not motivated to make douchey posts after a nice win. I'm pretty sure you're the one pushing an agenda. For the record I don't disagree with your agenda either but after a victory at the number 4 team in the country I tend to enjoy myself.

Id rather lose 2/3 than get swept. With how we’ve been struggling it was a relief to see us beat a good team.

Yes. Fans are happy our Tigers won.

In 1999 I celebrated when Rohan lit up Arkansas at the end of Dinardo’s last miserable season at LSU.

a-hole. Trying hard to kick a team when they down. I’m sure you never had a bad stretch in your life. I had plenty. Dust my arse off and keep going. Years from now you won’t know the era or any guy wrenching statistics from this team. When you bouncing you great grandchild off you knee it doesn’t matter. The su will rise out of the east. If it doesn’t oh Lord. Enjoy life my friend.

I’m very happy to see Marceaux pitch like that. We need him to come around fast and he looked good today.

That’s worth a little celebration.

Yep, i find myself paying more attention to our starters on the mound than when our guys are at the plate. Been looking for that quality start, its been awhile. Hopefully its the start of one of those runs

Few teams win every series. But avoiding getting swept when you do lose a series is critical in the overall body of work. LSU lost 4 SEC series. None by sweep which has them at 15-12. By your logic since winning 1 game in a series means nothing since you didnt win the series had LSU done that they would be at 11-16 right now and out of the NCAA tourney altogether. Instead they are in with still a chance to host. See the difference those games make?

This is at least a halfway decent response, however this:

Is not what I said.

Nowhere have said root against the team or anything like that, all I said was that at LSU we shouldn’t celebrate losing a series, which some fans are. It shouldn’t be hard to see the difference.

Yes there is a difference in " yay we lost a series" and "yay we salvaged a game going into the tourney".
