Not sure why they thought building so far out would be successful.
I have suspicions that it might have had something to do with the location of the new new bridge.

The buffet is some of the worst food ever.
I always thought the buffet was pretty decent. It's a hell of a lot better than the Hollywood casino buffet.
I used to go a couple times a month on Saturdays for lunch. Then they replaced lunch with Brunch and started charging like $35 per person. frick that shite.
But I will say they do a have a very good salad bar, something they updated a few months back.
Their desserts are good. Better than a lot of places. But everything else is mediocre.
They tried to serve Pho, but who wants to eat a big bowl of soup at a fricking buffet?

That's bc they are desperate to hit that Asian market. Look at the CC's coffee shop in the front. It now sells all types of Asian foods.
They are constantly looking to hire Asian casino hosts too.

Louisiana made prostitution legal, but only casinos can provide the service
Great idea. You could get fricked twice in the same joint.
It worked great in St. Maarten. The Russian/Ukrainian mob (they were all mixed together) had several casinos and several gentlemen's establishments. Weed was also decriminalized and the beeches were topless and lots of european women on them.

If that is the case, then L'Auberge is going to make a fortune in about 45 years.

I thought the seafood buffet at the L'Auberge in Lake Charles was fab.
But it's been several years since the last time I worked in LC.

L in Lake Charles is much better food than BR.

Lots of folks are heading to Mississippi casinos for the legalized sports gambling. I know I passed BR and Nola coming from Lafayette during Christmas because my gf wanted to gamble and I wanted to throw some money on Bowl games.

They need a much better pool/water park. Not sure why they didn’t try more of a resort type set up

At L'auberge Baton Rouge the only acts that sell out consistently are Better Than Ezra and the Molly Ringwalds. Anytime they have spent money for a "name" act it has lost money.
I dont think they care about losing money on the act or if it is a sellout as long as it gets people in the doors and to the tables. That's where they screwed up. They didn't make the concert goers walk through the gaming floor to get to the auditorium.

Everything in Baton Rouge eventually feels rundown. Even that nice new Top Golf will be ghetto shite one day. Buccees should never come here.

As someone who gambles regularly, I gladly drive 2.5 hours to Biloxi to gamble at the Beau Rivage or Hard Rock, even though L'Auberge is 20 minutes from my house. The casinos are cleaner, the people are friendlier, and the overall properties are just nicer with more amenities. L'Auberge was never managed properly, and the smoking ban is the nail in the coffin.

Dont think its that. Projected numbers are down at Mississippi casinos regarding sports betting. Just think there is no reason to go to a BR casino if you dont live there.

Close proximity to Gar(bage)dere and the attacks on casino grounds in the past year haven't helped either, I'm sure.

The great part about Lake Charles casinos is that the Golden Nuggett and L'Auberge work hand in hand with the Nugget bringing in the entertainment and L'Auberge providing more gambling options being next door. Both have great restaurants, buffets and pool areas. Both are thriving despite the road construction on 210.

That kills a casino around here. Vast majority of people in there usually smoke
