Looking to fish south of the intracoastal. Just checking to see if It’s worth making the drive, or just fish close to the house. Looking for bass, perch,Sac a lait. Not looking for anyone’s spots, just how chocolate and high is the water. Thanks ????

You talking about Bayou Black in Lake Charles? If so, we fished there Saturday afternoon for reds. Didn't get a single bite. It was pretty muddy.

Buddy of mine had a pretty good day this past weekend. Not familiar with the areas he fished, but said the water was great. Ton of grass but caught some nice bass.

Water is getting nice, falling slowly. Lots of fish around the school board area.

Smoked the big perch and a few sacalait Wednesday. Haven't been back but I'd imagine it should still be good. Dead ends off the pipeline and shell canals. We caught em on blue black chartreuse creme shad with a crappie nibble about 30" underneath a cork.

If you’re talking Gibson we went Friday. It was high and crystal clear in the canal we usually fish. Went to the pipeline canal and found some mixing water and caught a few, but wasn’t great.

Caught a few Sac Au Lait and kept 20 big perch. Threw back about 40 small ones. A lot of dirty water around turtle bayou right now. But we did manage to find a couple spots with nice water. Overall it was a fun trip.

Thats a staple with Bayou Black

Makes for good bass fishing, but also annoying as well. We havent been out to black this spring yet because all the no wake zones with the high water makes for too long of a boat ride from the camp
