Why do some people not put their bottles of soda in the fridge?

This has never made sense to me. I get you can just use ice to make it cold but the soda is still warm and it melts the ice and then it doesn’t taste as good. I’ve never understood why people do this

An opened 2 liter will go flat faster in the fridge.

the cold temperatures actually makes it hold the CO2 longer as well.

If your fridge produces ice that lasts, this shouldn’t be a problem.

False... cold air actually helps it hold carbonation

Looks like Kcrad and Finchmeister08 are getting together at Sonic to settle this.

Because in places that call it soda it’s frozen for over half the year and outside is colder than their fridge.

Down here in God’s country our soft drinks need ice to stay cold

Try putting the top back on before you put it in the fridge.

It's called coke. I don't care what's in the bottle, it's a coke

Amen brother. We buy two liter sodas and I put them in the fridge because I want my ginger ale cold but I don't want to use ice and water it down. My 15 year old daughter however wants her soda at room temperature. Yuk.
