Grew up Methodist in Natchez, dad told me he’d pay for any school in MS except Millsaps, a Methodist school..due to it being as liberal as any school in NY. Student body is an eclectic bunch, no doubt.

The girls makeout with guys and then start making out with ugly girls. It’s almost like a porno there from what I’ve heard

My kids are both very talented athletes. Both play up in age in their sports, and often play in tournaments that are two years above their age.
When it comes time for them to go to college, I'll direct then to schools that can place them in a good place as adults based on their education and work experience. And based on their athletic achievements, they'll play intramural sports while they're at it.
Unless they get fat and lazy like their old man.

So not counting Vandy because it isn't like the rest which is the best academically?

Millsaps is hurting for students right now. Female president sort of ran it into the ground. Academically? It's tough. Oral comps. Heheh.

The ultimate badge for travel dads.
I swear, the two on our team don’t do shite.
Try to find a more competitive team their own age if they’re too good for the one they’re on. My kid’s the best kid on the team, and he’d be in the top half one year up...but he gets matched up with the best kid on the other team and that battle is more important than playing up and having to beat a marginal kid 7 months older than him.

There's a gif floating around on the net of a OT 7 wearing a millsaps sweatshirt and no pants. She is using the handle of a hairbrush to poke herself anally.
That's all I got.
That's all I got.

A modern liberal arts education will usually encompass English lit, foreign language, fine arts, math, natural sciences, humanities, philosophy, history, humanities/sociology, and religion along with your core major classes.
Most people have no idea what a true liberal arts education actually means. I can give a great example. The University of Chicago, one of the strongest undergraduate universities in the world, and a leader in international economics education, is a liberal arts undergraduate college. They don’t have an undergraduate business school.

Every girl I've ever met from Millsaps was a huge whore while there.

That’s the “art” of a serious liberal arts school. Serious business.

Gaston, I should have been more direct in my statement... that was a statement about kid's sports and not going overboard with it.
I have told both my kids that the end game for then is to play for their middle school and high school. They will not go to some small school or junior college just so they don't have to retire their jock.
And while we're both going overboard...you're wrong. If your kid is as good as you claim, he would benefit from going against older and stronger competition.

I’m with you on sports in college, he’s not going to some small school like PRCC to chase the dream.
He can and has played up, but he’s not (well he wasn’t) good enough to hang with the top 3 center mids in the state, one year up, when the whole team is outmatched. He’s now one of the top couple U13 centers, and he’s on a top team, so the burden is much greater. Last year he didn’t have to dominate, and wasn’t expected to, this year it’s all about that. He needs to learn leadership. He hasn’t found a voice out there, but he simply has to if he wants to start at that position in high school as a freshman.
Kick from last weekend in NOLA. Definitely one of the best goalies in La, but he should have dove for that one.

You realize this is ignorant and there are other options right?
For one, there's tons of players that get into better schools than they should have through sports or other extracurricular activities. The coaches can also usually assist with getting more scholarships.
Even if your kid isn't going to be a future pro player, there are still many advantages to playing a sport in college.

and some downfalls, particularly if you are more or less practice fodder, it's a huge commitment in time, blood, sweat, and tears

Pretty sure it is a liberal arts college, little research goes a long way

Everyone I know whose kid plays sports but isn’t good enough to play at a real school thinks they can play for Millsaps.

Funny story, not really, but I was talking to a friend about his daughter taking a visit to Millsaps. I said, damn the school is expensive (~$35k/yr)...he said bullshite, Auburn is $54k/yr, and that’s where she wants to go. Almost fell out of my chair. $200k+ for an Auburn degree. Fuuuuuck.
