Why isn't there a deadline on Wade speaking to the Administration to save his job?

Is the basketball team just in perpetual limbo heading to the Final Four? If the Admin is so concerned about this, why is Wade allowed to just hang out there on the payroll and continue doing nothing?

Nothing makes any sense.

I’m guessing it’s after April 22

Because he's worth waiting for. Why is that hard to understand?

ETA: Basketball team seems to be holding their own. Certainly wish he was there, but the leadership on this team has allowed them to sustain.

Then, what does the suspension accomplish?

Guessing we will find out after April 22

Nothing will happen until the trial

If he isn’t asked to take the stand as a witness then he should be able to meet with NCAA, they will probably open an investigation

If they find something Alleva will be a hero (in his own mind) for suspending Wade

If not then it is up to Wade to decide if he wants to work for a university that doesn’t have his back

That is a great question and one that should be answered by the school's administration. The player in question was cleared and is playing, why in the world is the coach not cleared?

This could have all been handled more like Arizona handled THE EXACT SAME SCENARIO last year, but our administration is scared to death of the national media (see Miles 2015 fiasco for reference).

limbo?

Everyone knows that Wade's not coming back this year.

Doing nothing while the team is still competing is the single thing this administration is doing right. The last thing the team needs is to have to deal with added drama while in the tournament.

By having THEIR COACH coach them?

They don't want to upset the players while in the tourney. Probably fire him as soon as we are eliminated or win it all. JMO.

If he wont coach at LSU again then why is he suspended and not fired?

again, what is the point of the suspension if he wont coach again.

on top of that, how can you suspend Wade and not Smart?

This.

It makes perfect sense. He can't discuss anything until the trial is over.

Because they don’t want to fire him due to an arbitrary public deadline.

Dude, there is no chance Wade coaches this team this year.

You need to accept that. Once you do, the list of things that should be discussed by the administration on the Wade topic during the tournament shrinks to zero.

We are talking about Joe Aleva, Derek Ponamsky, Tiger Ree, 1999, F. King Alexander, here. This will not stop them from talking.

1. LSU is not paying WW $9 mil+ to fire him.

2. With no NCAA sanctions and no real evidence of broken rules, LSU cannot fire him for cause. This is ONE reason he is suspended and not fired.

3. No other school is going to pay LSU $9 mil+ to hire WW under the current circumstances, so WW is not quitting anytime soon.

4. Alleva does NOT want to fire the HC whose hiring has been Alleva's biggest win as AD. Alleva wants WW coaching at LSU. Dr Alexander, Alleva's boss, wants to look like we are "getting to the bottom of this" and that is why WW is suspended for not meeting with LSU officials and the NCAA.

Put #1 through #4 together and that is why WW is drawing a check from LSU but not coaching. Until either WW testifies in the Dawkins trial OR the Dawkins case is settled out of court, nothing is gonna change.

But it doesn't look like he "is getting to the bottom" of anything with a suspension.

If they wanted to get to the bottom of it why is Smart playing right now?
