Help! I need to cook a ridiculous amount of rice

I am cooking rice to a fundraiser this week. I will have to do it in many batches. I have a full hotel pan that is 4 inches deep. I cooked a batch in the oven which was unevenly cooked. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Boil like you would pasta then strain out through a colander?

I have done it many times. Get a big pot. For every cup of dry rice, add 1.5 cups of water. Bring it to a boil. Once at a serious rolling boil and rice is “jumping” from the water, pour the rice and water into a pan and cover with foil. Bake at 300 for 1 hour.

Order it from a Chinese restaurant a day or two before, pick up morning of event. Thank me later.

As much as it pangs me to say this, use Zatarain's parboiled. Measure and boil the water. Pour over the rice in a buffet pan. Seal tightly. Bake in a 350 oven for 40 minutes. Serve.
Just like Piccadilly.

Use Minute Rice for this. Big red box. Follow the instructions.

Yeah... minute rice>parboiled.
Ratio of water to rice is 1:1. Bring water to boil, pour over same quantity of rice (use same container to measure water and rice, be precise), cover tightly, 7 minutes or so, it’s done and perfect.

This. Worth every penny for huge batches.

How much are we talking about? You can probably beg/borrow a rice cooker from every household on your block, if you struggle to cook it any other way. Six rice cookers will turn out a whole bunch pretty quickly.

I’m kinda curious what we are calling “a ridiculous amount of rice” also.
The ordering from a Chinese restaurant thing is genius as well by the way.

I don't know how much you need, but we do what Hungryone suggests when we have to cook a lot of it. Multiple rice cookers will give you perfectly cooked rice in no time and hold it warm if need be.

First, it should be basmati or jasmine. Dump about two bags of it in a pot, full the pot almost up with water. Turn the heat on medium, Salt and walk away.
In 20 minutes you’ll have perfect rice.

Cover it with foil or the top layer will be dry and crunchy.

And another question... what kind of fundraiser needs large quantities of white rice?
