That’s a very nice price.

Virtually any cooked food fundraiser in south Louisiana requires mass quantities of cooked rice. Gumbo, red beans, white beans, alligator sauce piquant, chicken fricasse, etc etc. I can remember being a middle schooler and learning how to fix hotel pans of rice in the large rack steamers at my community center. Raise your hand if you’ve ever got a steam burn from lifting the lid too quick on one of those bad boys.....
Anyhoo, you might also throw up a FB or nextDoor or other social post; dollars to doughnuts, someone in your network already has one of those giant rice cookers you can borrow.

I cooked a ton of rice for the gumbo cook off a few weeks ago and have done so the last couple of years.
I don’t remember exactly how much I cooked in each batch but it was a lot in a gumbo aluminum pot. It filled 2 of the large aluminum pans.
2 to 1 water to rice ratio
Bring water to a boil then add rice and stir
When water returns to boil, cut fire to a low simmer, cover and let sit for 20 minutes. Fold over a couple times.
1 cup or 10 cups it’s perfect rice every time doing above.
