Richard Lipsey is one of the most powerful people at LSU and in Louisiana, ANYONE who knows him and has an understanding of LSU/Politics/TAF etc the past 30+ years knows this.

Seems like he is using this situation, which he clearly does not have a firm grasp on, to throw shade at politicians

He admits that in the article, then list several bungled decisions by F King and Alleva during their tenures that are detrimental to LSU.

He is spot on. The bottom line is that LSU’s current administration is not dedicated to winning. Mark Emmert recognized that having a strong athletic department is a big positive for the university as a whole. Alexander does not feel the same, he’s basically said as much on more than one occasion.

FINALLY. a big booster stepping up and public calling for the removal of Alexander and Alleva.

This is exactly what we need. Lipsey is a huge player in LA business & politics. Hopefully others follow suit, it's honestly the only way I see King & Alleva being shown the door. Money talks.

You looked so fricking stupid in that thread. Thinking regular students and athletes have the same admissions standards

Thats right guys, Lester thinks athletes and regular students go through the same admissions process

I worked for Mr Lipsey, he is a great man and he LOVES LSU and is spot on, there was a picture of him holding a pro Will Wade sign in the Advocate Sunday.

Hey i agree with a lot of his points. But he is clearly using this issue to grandstand.

Well it's about time someone with some power stepped up and called this incompetent admin out.
suspending wade might be the right call buts its the way they handle thing that's the problem
Plus I could sit here and name a dozen other things they have done that have hurt LSU

Right up until the poster wanted to take issue with the fact that Lipsey was appointed by a Governor that happens to be a Democrat. Then it is entirely relevant!

Whatever.

The article list and describes several reasons and examples to replace F King and Alleva. That’s the focus. Not who he voted for.

Interviewed for a job with Lipsey when I graduated from LSU. My biggest memory from the interview is of all of the dead animals he had shot in Africa, etc. mounted on the wall staring at me.
