I'm not even sure if Bertman knows he is Bertman anymore.

Hey i agree with a lot of his points. But he is clearly using this issue to grandstand.
IDAGF if he’s using it to run for Governor.
It’s a big money guy saying what desperately needs to be said.

Nope, not a member anymore.

Mr. Lipsey represents the 6th Congressional District, has chaired the Board for two years and his term of service ends December 31, 2018.

All part of the BOS plan.
Dem's want their people in place.
My take on this column by Mr. Lipsey: If the LSU administration has lost the support of Richard Lipsey, they are done for.

That’s certainly the hope here.

A few days ago, I said Richard Lipsey would have a field day with this. He has not appreciated the direction LSU has been led. The holistic admissions debacle was the last straw. Jindal appointed this team because they would do his bidding and not rock the boat. They were not chosen because they were the best available. He harmed LSU's reputation as a place for leaders by running off talented people and needlessly cutting budgets. It took 20 years to rebuild LSU from the dark days of the 80's, and it will take another generation of leaders to put the school back to the path it was on before Jindal derailed the school.

old men as decision makers are being phased out of athletics, and for good reason. That's a different subject for a different day

even athletes MUST SUBMIT a score
Please, please please, show me where it says what they will hold athletes to
You are talking to someone who has actually been on a coaching staff at LSU that has dealt with the TOEFL situation in regards to recruiting. So, when you say "stop talking when you arent informed", you may want to start with yourself
LSU will not waive their score requirement for athletes. The other schools will

Only a few years ago LSU chancellor O' Keefe raised 786 million on behalf of LSU. The current leadership has reduced that to a relative trickle.

I certainly hope this is true. The word I get from leadership within the university is that F.King is a nice man but no leader. He is a caretaker with no vision in a time where the environment for universities is changing at light speed. It reminds me of the leadership at Sears who didn't recognize the change that Walmart, Home Depot, and others capitalized upon. Soon, Sears was a dinosaur and LSU is heading in that same direction under the threat of online learning, competition from substitute education, reduced state budgets, etc. We need to get it together.

You read what it says. Then go read what you said about other SEC schools. You are fricking wrong.

Seems like he is using this situation, which he clearly does not have a firm grasp on, to throw shade at politicians
Or, you know, he could be correct in what he’s saying. There is that option that of course YOU would leave out.
