Just placed a hold on 2. having my dad go pick them up.
I bought my dad a Revo SX for his birthday last week and he still thinks it's a black max. He is exchanging his SX for the combo. Saved me 40 bucks on his birthday gift and him 50 to 100 since he doesn't have to buy a rod now.
I'm still 50 bucks behind because I'm getting one too. Sometimes I hate this forum. Thanks for the heads up
Edit: The Academy on Louisiana Ave in Laffy had 10 combos when I called.

As someone who primarily fly fishes, what would this be a good rod for generally? I live right off a good sized river with trout and some "hybrid bass" along with bluegills... assuming it'd be fine for that, as well as taking it to ponds/lakes for bass?

Luckily I already have that reel and am not in need of another. I paid $110 for that reel on a Revo rod combo. The rod is fine, and I really like the reel. I have a Revo X and a Revo SX, and I like them both. You'd be hard pressed to find a better reel for the price IMO. I bought the SX on ebay for like $70. I bid on it not expecting to win it, but I did. I wasn't mad about it.

My dad grabbed two of them and some fishing line. He sent me an itemized invoice including some other stuff I owe him for. I sent him about 90 cents less and told him his math is wrong. I had 3 missed calls from him after lunch. He is probably going over it with his abacus again pissed off as all hell

Picked up the last one in Hammond just now. Someone had checked all the ones in Baton Rouge and drove over to Hammond and picked up several yesterday.

I'm in Georgia. The store had plenty. They are not marked down at the rack. I took it and brought it to a scanner to confirm price.
