re: UGA Baseball currently leads the league in runs scored with 22 - fibonaccisquared
It must've been nice holding the 2018 record for less than one day
 Impressive outing for the Hawgs today for sure... I do find it funny that of course the team who would take the lead for most runs in a single game so far would be Arkansas after this comment from a fellow Haw...

re: 2020 RB Mecose Todd commits to SC w/ offers from UGA, Bama, UF, UT, CU, AU ... - fibonaccisquared
He will probably decomit, we have tons of them every year
Yeah... the reality is just that guys that commit 2 years out seem to flake more often than they don't... at least if they're heavily in demand. 2020 would seem to be a good year if I'm a RB and am considering UGA. Swift wil...

re: UGA Season Long Basketball Thread (13-11, 4-8); UGA wins in Gainesville, 72-69. - fibonaccisquared
Not sure what the hell he's been thinking up to this point honestly... If anything, Tyree playing well now should actually put the final nail in. Just baffling that he was minimized for so long. ...
I don't blame you for grabbing for something good about your baseball team and quick. you know it won't last long and by mid year you'll be back in the cellar again.
You say this as though anyone in this thread would disagree... Most of us assume that if we have any success at all ...
21-9 now with bases loaded in the 8th. Whatever you're doing, don't stop
Until further notice, I'm not allowed to physically watch the games... just means you guys need to stay on top of keeping scores updated on these threads. I'll gladly take one for the team if it m...
Reserved for a later “Fire Stricklin” post, but opening night bats have been awesome. Hopefully the pitching comes around. Go Diamond Dawgs!
+1 to all of that......

re: 2019 Recruiting Class - fibonaccisquared
That's exactly the sort of name I was looking for.
Yeah... at least at present, he's "the" guy for the 2020 class to watch. There will certainly be other names that pop up over the next year and some change, but he's drawing a lot of attention to be certain. As I said above, I like...

re: Someone help me out here... I thought we were going to be in a budget crisis? - fibonaccisquared
Also, the stated reason for the increase in ticket prices was coaching salary increases. Total increase was in the 2MM per year range, and expected additional revenue from the increased ticket prices is close to 7MM per annum.
They plannin' on makin' Kirby about 5M per year...

re: Coaching Salaries updated - fibonaccisquared
Eventually UGA is going to have to pay a ransom for Schumann. He’s a damn good coach and even better recruiter. I like that UGA finally opened the checkbook, we’re heading in the right direction for sure.
Agreed. He gets his bump after Tucker leaves in all likelihood as he'll poten...

Coaching Salaries updated - fibonaccisquared
Looks like the supplemental differences for coaches was quite significant relative to the initial salary bumps we saw: https://www.dawgnation.com/football/team-news/georgia-gives-massive-raises-kirby-smart-assistants-especially-mel-tucker
The highlights on the new salary pool for the 10...

re: 2019 Recruiting Class - fibonaccisquared
Up until the Mullen hire, was pretty sure he was going to end up heading to UF (momma's school of preference). With Mullen there though, he seems to be an awful fit there... certainly ups our chances a bit. Will be an interesting recruitment to follow. ...

re: Someone help me out here... I thought we were going to be in a budget crisis? - fibonaccisquared
P&L is only half the story. What's our cash position? What are our debt obligations? Maybe we have a note coming due or spent a bunch of money on capital equipment last year.
Sure... As I mentioned, there could be significant information that is missing, but that's a pretty big dam...

re: Best looking women in the SEC? - fibonaccisquared
That’s the dumbest thing I have seen on the rant in a while.
Where have you been then? It wouldn't rank in the top 15 on pretty much any day in at least the last 5 years. It's dumb... but we can be real about it on a relative scale....

Someone help me out here... I thought we were going to be in a budget crisis? - fibonaccisquared
Apologies in advance, as this is a lengthy post once you factor in the quoted content... But wasn't that roughly the excuse that ADGM decided to use when upping ticket prices? For anyone who doesn't read his blog, the Senator pulled together a message boarder's work into a solid read on SEC at...
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! Surgery went well and they are closing up now. quote: What was the reason for the surgery, if I may ask? You say he was relatively young and healthy. He is ~60yo and otherwise exceptionally healthy. They found an abnormality on EKG at a r...

re: 2019 Recruiting Class - fibonaccisquared
Sure. But I do think that you can get by signing one QB a year most of the time... particularly if they are more highly rated... maybe an extra could go to a guy who projects as an ATH, who could possibly be a QB *or* another position for example... ...

re: 2019 Recruiting Class - fibonaccisquared
Yes. You'd like to have at least 4 scholarship QBs. I hope Stetson Bennett and whoever else are more than just scout team guys, but there's no reason to rely on walk-ons for depth. I'd argue that it's reckless.
Would say there were significantly bigger needs in this past class, so ...

Will it though? How long until the majority of cases move forward? Seems like at this point the writing is over the walls, so nothing stopping McG from back channeling discussions before the tournament if he has identified candidates or a specific one. ...
