Would Rex be allowed to have a float with its riders dressed in blackface? If it would be wrong for Rex, then it MUST be wrong for Zulu.
another dumb example from our Irish SJW.
To use your logic: No women should be allowed in the women's restroom cuz it would be against the law for men o enter the women's restroom.
I mean if it's wrong for men to be in there then it must be wrong for women too. Right?

But if black people choose to sit in the rear of the bus it’s not

These aren't politicians we are talking about. Or government employees getting tax dollars. This is a mardi gras parade. Those who disagree with it, don't go.
LSU hasn't endorsed all things zulu-related. They are simply marching in a parade to show support for the LSU student Queen.
That's it. Stop being so overly sensitive about something that doesn't have to negatively affect anyone unless you want it to.

The definition of racism is not defined by the "people of New Orleans." Our national conscience does. If the majority of (white) people in a given city believe black people should sit in the rear of the bus, it is still racist
Sorry bro, but this parade rolls in New Orleans, not across America. And in New Orleans, the hundreds of thousands of people that attend the parade aren't there because they don't want to be. No one if forced to attend and no one if forced to wear blackface.
Each person decides what they feel is racist and you can't speak for others (especially not the many people that willingly attend this parade in their hometown and get enjoyment from it rather than negative feelings).

Wrong!! Same as hazing.....just because a pledge agrees to do it (or have it done to them) does not excuse it from the definition of hazing. Racism and racist acts are what they are no matter who in Louisiana agrees with it.

So a black person is being racist for wanting to and choosing to sit in the back of a bus? Or are the white people on the bus being racist for minding their business and letting people sit where they want?

Zulu can do whatever it wants. I have not stated that Zulu can't require its members to dress in blackface.

Yes, they have. The same as if they were marching in the "Krewe of KKK." When you come across something as vile as racism, you speak up and make sure you are not supporting it. If you owned a bar and a Klansman entered in his klan robe, would you serve them?
Posted on 2/21/19 at 1:41 pm to Irish LSU Fan
So these Zulu people are like the KKK?

Nothing will change by bitching on here. I think you should enter a float in the ST. Patty's Day parade and make everyone dress in whiteface as a true protest.

Of course not. Listen, I don't make the policies related to hazing, the university does. If a pledge agrees with and allows himself to be urinated upon, that is still hazing!!! Please get a grip. If you have an all-white university and you have a "racist policy" that everyone on campus agrees with, guess what......it's still racist!!!

My Lord! Everyone and thing is racist! If it breathes its racist.

No. However, if the KKK had a parade, there would probably be some racist stuff on display. Remember, the intent (or lack of intent) of racism DOES NOT excuse the act. A mostly black group in New Orleans has already called on Zulu to eliminate the blackface!!

I love the LSU band. I think those students are amazing. I have said this 1000 times. I have never "shite" on the band. But, I will call out the administration of the band when they make stupid decisions.

So, let me get this straight. You're saying that LSU is supporting racism by letting the band march in Zulu because Zulu lets their riders paint their faces black like ancient Zulu Warriors? That about sum it up?

What if they marched in Rex. Rex is traditionally all male riders (sounds pretty sexist to me) and it started to honor a Duke from Russia (anti-american). LSU shouldn't endorse those sentiments, right?
Zulu chooses to do something to honor those of the past. There is no negative intent behind it. They aren't mocking anyone.
I'm italian. If my friend calls me a dago, I couldn't care less. If someone calls me that in the heat of a fight, it means a little more (though I still don't really care, but you get the point).
Cultural and social issues aren't as black and white as you believe.

And it's not blackface you ignorant slut. It's tribal face paint. So if anyone is being insensitive and culturally inappropriate it's you and our worthless SJW buddies.

I am just using your logic here. You are the one that claimed that if something is bad in one instance then it must be bad in all instances.
Well then, if it is bad for men to go in the women's restroom then it must also be bad for women to go in there.
You see how using blanket statements and not judging every situation individually doesn't work?
