My white arse uncle who grew up dirt poor in Mississippi still cooks chitterlings every now and again, and they aren’t bad. Why do people think they are only a black thing?
Because they don't know history
Chitterlings were common peasant food in medieval England, and remained a staple of the diet of low-income families right up until the late 19th century and not uncommon into the mid 20th century.
Didn't live in medieval England but I am pretty sure there weren't many black people there.

So much misinformation here.

Let me guess black people also 'invented' cornbread?
Cornbread was a European derivative of the Native Americans cornmeal.
What we know as Southern Fried Chicken, was invented by black people in the South.
quote:I'm not. They invented a completely unique dish.
If you are trying to say they 'improved' on other peoples ideas and recipes than that isn't 'inventing' it either.
Native Americans invented cornmeal, Egyptians invented bread. . .but it is still fair to say that the European settlers still invented cornbread.

I wrote a paper a looooong time ago. It started when I asked my Civil Rights History professor "Why is there a black people/fried chicken stereotype?"
He assigned me a research assignment on the spot.
Here is from the wiki:

The first dish known to have been deep fried was fritters, which were popular in the European Middle Ages. However, it was the Scottish who were the first Europeans to deep fry their chicken in fat (though without seasoning). Meanwhile, a number of West African peoples had traditions of seasoned fried chicken (though battering and cooking the chicken in palm oil). Scottish frying techniques and West African seasoning techniques were combined by enslaved Africans and African-Americans in the American South.

Was slavery worth it for the introduction of the banjo and okra? This man says yes.

Couldn’t we just have brought over some okra seeds?
And the banjo was a derivative of much older stringed instruments from Asia and Europe

But we wouldn't have an NBA worth a shite.
A buncha white dudes putting in layups?

I hate to think of cooking ability as dependent on your race, but I’ll try to answer their original question honestly:
1.) Steak
2.) Any Asian cuisine
3.) More traditionally “Cajun” dishes, rather than “Southern/Soul” like Gumbo, Jambalaya, Sauce Piquante, etoufee, etc.
4.) Italian cuisine

Well done is not how you cook a steak.

Larry Byrd? Honkies invented basketball and frankly played a much more fundamental game. Sorry most of us aren’t 8 feet tall.
Slavery was indeed the worst evil of the Americas. I think sacrificing a slightly more athletic game of basketball would be an easy payment for not having that horrible smear

And it was excruciatingly boring until the DR J's started to make it fun.
Even then, the NBA was on it's last legs until the Bird/Magic rivalry saved it.
Then Jordan made it a merchandising Juggernaut.
If you think an all-white NBA would be fun, watch the WNBA. . .because that is what you would have.
