Probably $7k (my portion / expenses), but I caught the travel bug and try to spend less material things (that I don't need) so I can travel. Been wanting a high-end watch for a while, but can never pull the trigger on buying one as I always think of what cool place I could go with that money.

About 10K, 1994, 8 days in Paris.

Not-so-subtle brag thread.

Probably 5k for a week in Costa Rica

For 2 people
- flights + hotel 3200
- rental car 700
Then probably another 3k in frivolous stuff like souvenirs, going out, sightseeing, etc. We stayed 17 days as well, only had the car for a week though.

There is little reason why $10K needs to be spent to visit Barcelona unless you are flying business class and spending $6K on flights alone and/or staying for 3+ weeks.
I just got back from Barcelona and it’s not expensive.

I’m 5k in the hole on my honeymoon. Setting the bar high on the first vacation I guess.

$214 to buy a houseboat and navigate the Mississippi River from Minnesota to Cypress Cove Marina.

I actually find traveling on the cheap more interesting than staying in ritzy accommodations.
I spent about $2500 backpacking for 17 days in 10 cities across 4 countries in Europe. I go on a trip similar to this (not always as long) every 6 months or so. Traveling on the cheap allows me to travel a lot more...I’ve learned a ton of “tricks” along the way of where to spend money and where it’s a waste.

We booked a Disney Alaskan cruise for this coming May. Cruise, flights to Vancouver, and a couple night stay in Vancouver is pushing right at 10k for our family of 3. This is by far the most we’ve spent on a trip and definitely not the norm for us.

$16K for a week in Turks and Caicos for a family of four.

Well, I guess you can at least say you've been to those places.

Total: $33.17 (plus a $2.77 tip) at Diesi’s Little Capitol for everyone to each have a Hamburger platter and a cold drink.
Good times, one of the little Füts posted it on their MyFaceGram thing.

Out of all the amazement and wonder this world has to offer that you could afford to go to on half of that...and you choose Disney

About 30K for a trip to Japan.

I'm amazed at the prices people have paid honestly. I'm headed to Europe for spring for 9 days and my flight + airbnb has me 1100 total right now

25k is too much. That size group in a deluxe villa should be about 2k per day including tickets and food.
I enjoy Disney. I always stay deluxe and never eat buffets or quick service.

I would never make the mistake of trying to impress the OT. But who doesn't love a free vacation?

Everyone keeps saying Iceland is a great destination. Sounds a little frigid for my tastes.

Going overseas can be dirt cheap outside of airfare if you know what you’re doing.
