Dorff reminds me more of Kiefer Sutherland than Dennis Quaid.

This is probably the best cast role for Dorff, ever. Apart from Cliff Spab.

Season 2 evened out but this has me all in. I'm still wondering about the ending of episode 2.

Hayes is getting dimentia and also back to obsessing over the case.. he drives to the Purcell house and in 2015, the house is now gone whether it was burned down or demolished .

Seemed straightforward to me

Spoiler

Think there is any chance his daughter in LA is actually dead and his son doesn’t want to keep telling him that?

Solid theory. Given how upset the son was I could definitely see that being the case.

Great first two episodes. Main 2 detectives have really good chemistry.

Finished episode two. Wow. This season is going to kill. Is episode 3 next week or are we going to wait two weeks to get it?

Fantastic 2 episodes.

Nic Pizzolatto really learned a lesson and and is bringing back the dark, creepy, “something is fricked up here” vibe of season 1.

I wonder if the daughter is going to be found alive and how much more they tie this all in with season 1.

Busting up the pedo ring that was eluded to in season 1 would be really cool.

The wife is going to come into play. The way the camera kept showing her photo on the book. The sons face as the interviewer mentions her name. She’s a bit of an enigma.

Very solid start for the season.

Already seems better than season two
