re: One of the best descriptions about how the Orgeron hiring process went down. - diablo blanco
Is F.King’s title president and not chancellor? You say potatoes, I say potatoes... By the way, I know this will never happen. We are stuck with this whole band of clowns for the foreseeable future. At least we won’t have to pony up a million or so dollars to keep Aranda, as his head coaching ...

re: One of the best descriptions about how the Orgeron hiring process went down. - diablo blanco
I agree with the obvious incompetence of the BOS, but the move to keep Miles after the cat was out of the bag at the end of the 2015 season is clearly F. King’s folly. Local media and insiders have made me believe his tight hold on the purse strings, while extracting more and more money from fans, p...

re: Memories from your trip to Syracuse in 2015 - diablo blanco
Flew into Buffalo on Friday midday, drove up to Toronto and caught the Blue Jays and Rays game Friday night. Drove back and spent the night at Niagara Falls. Headed into Syracuse the next morning, watched the game and it was warm but not unbearable. Stayed the night in upstate, somewhere. Drove i...

re: Best Way To Get From SeaTac to Downtown Seattle? Plus best plan for 1/2 Day in Seattle? - diablo blanco
There is a train called the light rail that reaches downtown. Seems like it was around $5 to ride one way. You'll come out of the station beneath the Nordstrom's right down town....

re: Chartered Bus to Tiger Stadium - diablo blanco
If I am not mistaken there is a parking lot for visiting fans' buses on Skip Bertman Drive, between the football practice facility and the softball complex. The walk to the stadium is not far from there, just over the rail road tracks and across Nicholson Drive. :geauxtigers:...

re: The Founder - Story of McDonalds - diablo blanco
*Spoilers* Their desire to control even the most minute details of the daily operations led to their downfall. Kroc thought it could be big, but he was pretty desperate at that point, according to the movie anyway. The model they developed was the basis for all of Kroc's success but two m...

re: What's the smartest thing your pet ever learned? - diablo blanco
My American bulldog learned to open the back door and go out on her own. We have lever style door handles and she would put her paw on the door facing and use the other paw to push the handle down and her nose to shove the door open. Then, when she was ready to come back in, she would do the same ...

re: Ball to strike ratio versus OSU - diablo blanco
What I have seen from LSU pitching, during the CWS, is a general desire to make batters swing at balls. Even Hess last night, who was dominant, threw lots of pitches six inches off the plate, on purpose. Why do this, when you throwing absolute "cheese" and have one of the best defenses in the coun...

re: Ball to strike ratio versus OSU - diablo blanco
Finally, another voice of reason! Apparently OSU is a team that does not swing at bad pitches, or they didn't in the Monday game. Balls off the plate are just that, balls. Errors happen, but free bases lead to runs for this opponent....

Ball to strike ratio versus OSU - diablo blanco
Listening to the commentators, OSU is the most deadly team since the 1961 Yankees. With that said, the walks issued against them on Monday really were the major difference in the game, besides us not hitting. I think it is essential to a Tiger victory if we throw strikes and let our defense work...
