Yes he did. Wasn’t the right time for him. He is very cerebral.

I still would not be surprised if Kiffin comes calling in 2020. Bruh! LET. IT. GO.

It might seem illogical, but Kiffin and O are buddies and he would be a minimal threat to O. I think Kiffin has enough of a bad HC resume that he won't land a P5 coaching spot and there isn't enough glamour as a HC at FAU.

Consider the pecking order in the state:

UF
FSU
Miami
UCF
USF
and FAU somewhere way below. I think he would want back in the SEC in some capacity and O gives him that chance. Also, if you are correct that a new OC won't be able to pick his coaches (which a lot of coordinators do), Kiffin might be more willing to work with the coaches O has.

If Tee Martin does end up LSU he was a Kiffin hire at USC when he was HC there. Maybe O, Tee and Kiffin get the band back together.

I thought I read it had to do with Orgeron firing Juluke and the shitstorm that created. Is that what you mean by not the right time?

Correct and just not knowing the stability of the Oregon situation. He was stable at Memphis.

Expect Tee Martin to be on staff next year. He will take Sullivan’s spot.

What about Joseph? Or is he going to be passing game cord like Sullivan was? Any other changes?

Can confirm except I was told he would likely be the OC and Ensminger would step down back into his old position. Haven’t talked to my source lately so things could have changed but yes, all plans are to bring Martin on staff.

Perfect recruiting season for the Martin move. CA has Ricks he can help close and Tennessee is loaded next year. He's still got ties in the south. Not sold on him being OC but either way.

If LSU hires Tamaurice Martin, that would be huge.

Eta: I'm assuming he's still considered an elite recruiter? I know the past few years he had been viewed that way, but honestly don't follow cfb recruiting as much last 2 years.

Agree that as WR coach it's a solid hire but as OC? Not so much

Would it be a down grade from SE?

Martin wont be OC. He is supposed to just take the passing game coordinator / WR coach like Sullivan was.
