Unless he felt really confident a deal with someone was already in place. Still id agree it would be wise to vet potential other options just in case.

From the conversation I overheard the offer is real, there is some form of interest because he has not declined and alot of people are gathering up money. I still have a hard time thinking he comes out of retirement at this point in his career but it seems LSU and the donors are really pushing it. Who knows stranger things have happened before but again I'd have to see it with my own eyes to believe it happens but apparently there is smoke.

All of that is very compelling sure, All reasons more I personally have a hard time believing he would come back, however if he hasn't decided yet and the deal was still ongoing that to me would be things they all would say in hopes of not hindering the deal or big announcement.

I agree fully, It's was interesting how he kinda avoided the question at the end of gameday last weekend. That was a perfect opportunity to reaffirm he is happy in retirement instead of making a joke about it. My personal belief he has not made his mind up yet and declined or the smoke is legit. I still have a hard time believing he comes out of retirement until I see it with my own eyes but...

I honestly believe the rumors we've offered Saban are true, I also believe certain reports Saban has declined is not true. Im a long time TD member and read often and hardly post much these days but I can say this. A local law firm I deliver to whom are supposedly big donors where talking about helping come up with the money for the offer made to Saban this morning while I was there.
Not saying he will come back or coach again Im kinda on the side of I just don't think he would fence however I dont think he has actually declined just yet as some have reported.

Beauxjax is a good spot. Avoid downtown Shreveport at all costs. Nothing like it use to be, way worse now. East Bank in Bossier is a really nice spot.
