Bowman acts like Wright is the clear top P prospect in org’s eyes.
I like Soroka, Anderson, Touki the most personally in that order.

I’m not giving up on Fried. Lefty throwing 97+ with wipeout curve.

yeah, Fried might be my favorite lefty in the system still.
one of the recent talking chop podcasts had a discussion about Fried, and they made a good point. With his history of blister issues, it might be in the Braves best interest to convert him to a full time reliever and use him as a high leverage multi inning guy similar to how the Brewers use Hader. That guy had 80+ innings in 55 games. I just love Fried's composure and mindset, and he has dominating stuff. Maybe the shorter outings would help with the blister issues.

Realmuto wants out, per his agent. That scrolled across the ESPN bottomline ticker
Says he's not signing an extension. Hopefully that drives the price down a bit, although they'd charge us more for him because of being in the same division.

Means little for the Braves though. There’s team out there who unfortunately will be able to offer less that aren’t in the division.
Sucks. See Yelich.

Does being in the division really matter much to the GMs out there? The Fish know they won’t be competing during the likely duration of Realmuto’s time in Atlanta. I’d bet they get over the “rivalry” pretty quickly when the price is right

Our price will be steep compared to other teams

Kiley mentioned Tampa and Atlanta as the two teams with the most Realmuto buzz. Thinks Soroka/Riley is about right for price. Said the Archer package is the baseline on the ask.

Please no.
Riley aside, if we trade away another Wainwright I’ll lose my mind.

Ender wins his 3rd consecutive and Cake also takes home the prize for RF. His 3rd of his career.
Not a bad day at all for Atlanta. Unsurprisingly, Andrelton Simmons won another at SS over in the AL. Glad to see him have continued success

Insane he won a GG, yea he never makes an error because he has the range of a turtle. Hopefully the braves don't owe him any bonus money for the GG

Had to be up at 5 so woke up at 4 instead to watch a little MLB/Japan series.
Acuña hitting 3rd for MLB All Stars. Hit a double off the LCF wall in his first AB.

As we enter trading and prospect season, here is my top 20. I've seen 14 of these guys in person and 12 of those at multiple levels.
1. Ian Anderson, RHP (Likely 2019 Starting Level: AA)
2. Mike Soroka, RHP (MLB)
3. Cristian Pache, OF (AA)
4. Kyle Wright, RHP (AAA)
5. Touki Toussaint, RHP (MLB)
6. Austin Riley, 3B (AAA)
7. Drew Waters, OF (A+)
8. Luiz Gohara, LHP (AAA)
9. Bryse Wilson, RHP (AAA)
10. William Contreras, C (A+)
11. Joey Wentz, LHP (AA)
12. Kyle Muller, LHP (AA)
13. Kolby Allard, LHP (AAA)
14. Tristan Beck, RHP (A)
15. Greyson Jenista, OF (A+)
16. Chad Sobotka, RHP (MLB)
17. C.J. Alexander, 3B (A+)
18. Freddy Tarnok, RHP (A+)
19. Huascar Ynoa, RHP (A+)
20. Patrick Weigel, RHP (AAA)
As you can see, we can certainly afford to trade some pitching. There is an actual logjam being created that will limit merit based promotions, despite "never being able to have too much pitching"
We also need to find a way to inject some position player talent in to the system. The strategy of the rebuild was obviously to draft pitching and sign and develop hitting internationally, but with the sanctions there isn't much hitting at all in our lower minors.

Someone in the know has claimed that the logjam might actually be causing a little bit of turmoil with the guys because of that promotion issue you mentioned. Some guys have been unable to move up even when performance and skill dictates that they should. I'm not necessarily talking about only promotions to MLB either.

Don't sleep on Thomas Burrows. Dude is going to be a nice piece for our bullpen this year.

Someone ease my mind with this talk of Riley and Soroka for Realmuto.
I’m already pre-melting.

Saw a hypothetical trade today that would send Gausman, Gohara, Wright to Indians for Kluber
