I would have replied with this. DOB's replacement does about as good of a job reporting on the Braves AND doesn't treat the fanbase like shite. In the age of social media, both are equally important, especially when a lot of the immediate reporting is done via tweets.

Do we still want Kimbrel?

I'm not sure, but it would have nothing to do with his performance in the playoffs this year.

I'm not sure because he is already 30 and would probably cost a fortune with a contract at least 4 years long. I think I'd prefer to find a trade partner in Pittsburgh or Seattle and add a top flight relief pitcher that way, than to invest in an aging (weird to say) Kimbrel.

Kimbrel's last cleaning inning with a lead in a playoff game, was back in 2010 as a Brave..

He's struggled a tad late this season, and now in this post season.

Braves can do better..don't be so nostalgic.

Kimbrel has a lot of Billy Wagner in him. Not sure how much I believe in the clutch gene, but if it’s real, Kimbrel doesn’t have it.

The peripheral numbers are the main reason I’d stay away.

Bowman proposed Soroka + Riley + filler for Realmuto on podcast today. What do we think? Responses on Braves twitter have been almost exactly 50/50

Agreed. Soroka probably the pitching prospect I’d least like to see dealt tbh. FG chat today Longenhagen suggested Waters, Wilson, Gohara, Allard would be a fair deal for both sides.

Yep. The only player I'd feel bad about losing is Waters, but he's so young that there's no telling what he actually becomes. Well worth the risk in my opinion.

As should they. Considering what they got in return for all their other sell offs, this would by far be the best deal they've gotten. Quality and quantity.

What do we think about the Greinke talk?

I'm extremely interested if AZ is going to eat a ton of money

Not so much otherwise

I'm just not a fan of going after a SP this offseason. We have too many other needs and I think we have a ton of depth there already with high upside young guys.

If we get him for the cheap prospects wise might be a good use of money. He only has 3 years left on his deal, so the time frame works. They probably would let him go since they are at the max of their payroll.

They are probably going to have a fire sale. Will be interested to see who gets Goldy.
