The irony to it all is it will take a dictatorship to save this country. Someone who comes in and consolidates power, cleans house but then is able to return the freedom back to the people.

That's a bit extreme.
Honestly, I think the perception is worse than the reality.
Sure, politically, we are in rocky times. At some point, something will happen and things will change.
Has anyone's life literally been affected over the past 10 years?

Highest probabilty for an ending in the short term (less than 50 years) likely comes from a war resulting out of the rising tide of nationalism in china. Though that’s still a low likelihood.
In the longer term, who fricking knows. The larger absolute probability for destruction probably comes 3 or 4 generations down the line when the concept of “don’t care what other people think” becomes society wide and thought fractions become more important to the majority than family connections.

We will elect a black community activist with no real work experience. He will be a Muslim although claim to be a Christian. He will turn our country into a second rate entity.
