You live in Alaska though.
Plenty of good ole baws down here had their panties in a wad for 8 years because a black dude was our president. Fast forward to today and they think this dumb frick in office now is a demigod. It’s unreal.
I said it then and I’ll say it again. The 2008 election was the 2nd most racist thing to happen to this country since slavery. Both sides went off the deep end over Obama winning.

By that October everyone was panicking. So if you compare where things were when he took office to where they were when he left, technically he left things in better shape than they were when he first took office.
Give me an unlimited piggy bank, and any of us could leave the country in better shape then what we inherited.

Yet George W Bush wasn't able to do so (I was actually a Bush supporter for most of his two terms).

what president do you think pushed the Tarp loans through, which gave Obama the unlimited piggy bank?
Answer: George Bush
Personally I was against the bail outs, but when no one can call you on your debt why not take the money?

Motherfricker, the recession was caused because of decisions made before Bush was even thinking about running for office.

Can you provide concrete facts to prove this?

What the frick does that have to do with his presidency?
I should have been more clear on that, but I was addressing the situation in which a lot of people believed he was a Muslim with a personal agenda... Those who thought he was not even a US citizen, etc..

Did he ever practice in law? No, he went straight into politics. He’s literally never done anything in his adult life other than politic. And he’s not even that good of one.
A simple google search will give you this information.

In 1993 Obama joined Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland, a 12-attorney law firm specializing in civil rights litigation and neighborhood economic development, where he was an associate for three years from 1993 to 1996, then of counsel from 1996 to 2004, with his law license becoming inactive in 2007.
But even if he didn't practice. And this goes for anyone who is a president, senator, representative, etc.. Someone with a law degree is more likely to understand policies and law making in general, than someone without a law degree.

Hey that’s great, frick the whole country for a couple people!
Like I said, it far from perfect. But before Obamacare, one of the biggest complaints about health care was that something needed to be done. Change was needed. At least he was trying to make some changes. The healthcare bill that was approved, was the final product of compromises from both sides.

Dude that was his weakest area by far, we were walked all over by every other country. That’s why all the countries hate us now, we have a president who isn’t a flaming vagina apologizing to every other country in the world like he did. He brought us down multiple pegs in regards to our standing in the world.
Do you realize, what makes us the powerful nation we are, is maintaining the type of relationship with other countries that makes them somewhat depended on us? It's a national security issue and we have our eyes and ears to the ground, all over the world, but to have that access, it does come with a cost.
He was trying to establish a better relationship with Cuba that would benefit the US in the long term. It would benefit a lot of US businesses if they were able to start selling their products in Cuba. That relationship was getting better, but that's not even an option anymore.
quote:
Yeah the stimulus packages and auto bailouts really helped us out. His economic policy was always more government, less private sector.
That stimulus package would have been approved no matter who was in the white house. Don't forget, in early 2008, Bush signed.. What? A $160 billion stimulus package hoping to prevent a recession. But somehow Obama's was worse?

These sharp divisions go back to when Clinton was in office, escalated in 2000 when GW algedly ‘stole’ the election.
IMO, it’s more about Obama’s policies then the color of his skin.

But hey, he was POTUS when Bin Laden was killed. Although he even managed to frick that up by giving him a proper Muslim burial. I’d have strung his arse up from the railing of the helicopter.

Most of those were terrible policies

I don't know about most... But I will agree not all of them were good.

Tell me how many of those policies have helped America in the long run.

Internal collapse. De Tocqueville was right; we've moved from being a republic governed by laws to a democracy run by the tyranny of the majority. It's not stable in the long run and we are seeing the cracks in the system now.

Dude, I am getting off the path of my original argument.
I never said I thought he was the best president ever. I am not trying to prove he is the best ever president.
I am just saying he wasn't the worse president ever either. He was an average president, but there were A LOT of people who thought it was the end of the country as we knew it and many of those people simply hated him because he was black.
Don't get me wrong, he got votes just because he was black, which is just as bad IMO, but based on the population numbers alone, there were a lot more people voting against him for the wrong reasons than there were voting for him, for the wrong reasons.
And to further expand on that, I think the only reason Trump is our president today is because he was able to capitalize on the anti-Obama voters.
Like I said when I gave the example of the union workers who voted Democrat no matter what. I am talking about people who use to say "I would never vote for a Republican". Obama becomes the Democratic candidates and all of a sudden those people were saying "I would never vote for a __________". Those people are now pro-trump people.
The thing about that situation is.. Those who voted for Obama because he was black, was likely voting for the Democrat anyway. More people might have went out to vote than they would have if it was someone else, but all of this was created by perception. And going back to my original point, I don't think that things are as bad as they appear. But on the other hand, perception is reality so...
Posted on 9/30/18 at 4:05 pm to OweO
You’re an even bigger dumbass than I thought you were if you think that people hated him or think he’s one of the worst presidents of all time just because he was black.
That’s fricking stupid
