To me it just emphasizes the accuser is lying about the incident and she’s lawyering up to help stop her from committing provable perjury. Or, to allow a lawyer to give some legal-eagle excuse why she will refuse to testify at the last minute.
It’s a sign of desperation not strength.

Where are the people that said Trump's associates didn't need a lawyer to talk to Mueller if they were innocent? Surely, they don't think that an innocent person that is not being investigated or charged with a crime needs an entire legal team just to tell a truthful story to Congress.

1. Even the partners at his firm realize how ludicrous this is and don’t want the embarrassment of being attached to it.
