They had season tickets available in the lower bowl 3 weeks after they mailed them out. LSU is living in denial

All of you are missing the boat. There were more than enough people outside the stadium to fill it... We have made tailgating more convenient than actually going inside.

Dont tell me about cost. My ticket was only $30 face value in SEZ lower. People just dont care about the game anymore. The West sideline was about 60% full. Students showed up in decent numbers but was 75% gone at halftime and did not come back.

Tell John Emery (who was there) about that magical TS crowd experience. Oh but it is about winning... this team is 2-0 and #11 in the country. It is about the whining

Not close to 96k in the stands and this is stunning bc we were told that there were people lined up for hundreds of miles to get tickets if the negative folks wanted to let theirs go

Our openers against Chattanooga, Jacksonville State, and Sam Houston State were all better attended.

Were they on ESPN or pay per view?

This is dumb and you should feel bad for posting. It was a nationally televised game against Southeastern. Let me know when only 96k show up for Bama or Georgia then you’ll have a case.

And 98,000 freaking people showed up to support the team...but we still suck in every way possible. Please don't introduce reason to the board douboy...it'll just confuse everyone.

WOW.......are you drunk? That was PAID attendance.

Funny thing about the attendance is I was absolutely shocked at how good it was at kickoff.

What exactly has Alleva done to kill tailgating? I’m seriously asking bc I haven’t been to a game since 2012.

My family went but this will be our only one of the year. Since they put the intramural fields where the old levee parking was, you now have to walk over a mile to get to the stadium for the free parking! I don’t think LSU is the only one dealing with this issue though. It is so much cheaper to watch the game at home. No traffic, no heat, no frustration and I can flip back and forth between channels during commercial breaks.

Cost? I gave up my season tickets because we hired a meatball that fired his OC to hire the TE Coach to do the job because the DL COACH figured he knew more about offense and needed a yes man in the position. Games like yesterday I couldn't give away last season.

He killed it when he shut off the first come first serve access west of Highland. Last year he tried to charge for the Levee lot before he found out that was a dumb fricking decision. This year is the start of the pay for play tailgate. Today about 90% of all campus lots is now paid parking.

96,000 for a game against SELA is poor attendance?

Is this a serious question? They were all on either SEC Network or an ESPN channel. When do you think the last time there was an actual PPV game? I'm guessing 5-6 years ago if not more?

So here is my take on the game. We moved back to Louisiana last yr and we took our 8 yr old son to his first game. I remember my first game, wanted to give that experience to my kid. We had good tickets 23 dollars for two regular dip and dots and three waters. Wow that’s high. Make it to our seats, I just loath the piped in music my wife and kid both said it made their heads hurt. Once the game got started my kid was screaming and that made the thing priceless. Now on to my observation they had 4 college age people in front of us taken selfies and facebooking or what every kid do these days. After the first 8 mins they left the stadium. I told my wife, what is the point of gong to game and not watching it. Come second quarter time for consession food was cold and not worth the price how do you have cold cheese for nacho’s. Moving on my son summed up the third quarter as only he could. Dad, LSU’s offense sucks, my team runs a better offense than this. I’m bored can we leave. At that point, I understood why people leave after half time. Sitting on a lead and run run run punt for two quarters make for a very boring second half. Justt my two cents
