Anyone getting back into No Man's Sky for their NEXT update?

I haven't really played since it first came out so I picked it up on PSN in anticipation of playing the new Atlas story path they added last year and the new update called NEXT. It's a free update so is anyone else going to hop back in?

Probably, but I'll be shocked if I'm able to get to it in 6 months. I don't get to play nearly as many VG as I'd like, these days.

No. They missed their chance. Not coming out at the right time of year either. Anyone who plays a lot of the sport genres big games most likely won't waste time on this game again.

Booted it up for the first time since launch. I'm hopeful the NEXT changes will give it a little more longevity for me.

Multiplayer
Team up with a small team of friends and explore the universe together, or be joined by random travelers. You can help friends to stay alive, or prey on others to survive. You can build tiny shelters or complex colonies that are shared for all players. Fight as a pirate or a wingman in epic space battles with friends and enemies. Race exocraft across weird alien terrains, creating race tracks and trails to share online. The character customisation allows you to personalise your appearance.
Visual Overhaul
The game is fully playable in third or first person, both on-foot and in a ship. New Planetary rings and improved space visuals make space more beautiful than ever. Dramatically improved planetary terrain generation, ground textures, water and clouds bring the environment to life. There’s also significantly more detail added to ships, NPCs and buildings.
Unlimited Base Building
Bases can now be built anywhere on any planet. Base building has dramatically increased complexity and size limits and we’ve added hundreds of new base parts. You can also own multiple bases.
Command Freighters
You can assemble and upgrade a fleet of frigates and command them from the bridge of your freighter. Send your fleet out to into the universe, or deploy them to help you as you explore a specific system. The improved freighter base building allows a truly custom capital ship. Invite your friends aboard and take on challenging multiplayer missions from the Galactic Commission Station on your bridge.
No Man’s Sky Next will be released for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One on July 24. The update will be free for owners of the game on PC and PS4. No Man’s Sky originally launched on Aug. 9, 2016.
Hell I will try all that if it's free.

Was hyped for the game before release then never bought it after all the shite came out about it. I plan on buying it for my Xbox One though on the 24th. I'm pretty excited.
Yeah they screwed up the launch and had a ton of missing features they promised but they've stayed quiet and produced free quality updates to the game since that whole debacle. They could have been like EA and other AAA developers and just abandoned it but they stuck around and are providing what the fans want. I can admire that.

looking into picking this up for Xbone when it finally hits

Now that the game is finally resembling...a game, my interest is piqued. Based on that last trailer, it appears this is what it should have been from the beginning and the initial release was more like early access.

Looks promising, I might get it for PC or XBox.

Comes out on xbone just as it becomes a playable game

I played it for a few weeks when it first came out, then i put it in the back of my game rotation..
Popped it back in yesterday (waited for updates to download) and started playing it again, and found it better this time. Seems like they made a ton of updates since release date.
I like how they have the explore setting now.

I've played it off and on since launch. It's a good relaxation game, and the mods made it enjoyable even before they started rolling out the updates. I plan to do a fresh start with the new update.

The game is nowhere near as bad as people claim it to be.
I will pop it in during dry periods of content and still have a decent time playing it.
It isn’t a fantastic game, but I find the farming of mats, etc, to be relaxing at times and it itches the space exploration bug i get every once in awhile.
