bullshite. Expectations should never have dropped and because of the line deterioration we should have gotten rid of miles sooner imo

Your not alone.

I used to make all the home games and 1 road game a year.

That turned to 1 road game a year.

That turned to throwing a few decent size parties at the house. The convenience of home changed that. There is no reason to go if they are all televised.

Why are you laughing?

I much prefer going to a Saints game vs a LSU game. It’s not even close.

The thing I never liked about going to LSU football games is the tailgating. Now, I enjoy eating and having a good time with friends and family, but doing it for 8-10 hours is just exhausting. The September games are the worst because it is so hot. Then after the game, you have to wait an hour or two before you can leave because of traffic. After awhile, your A/C home, couch, and HD flat screen TV sounds much more appealing than actually going to the game.

I still like/care about College Football. I'm just not that hyped about LSU Football specifically. Ed O definitely doesn't make me excited and LSU doesn't have intriguing players for the first time in a long time.

I'll likely still tailgate a good bit. But I'll gladly skip some LSU games for a better matchup.

Comes with age I think. I'm 40, married with kids and just find that I'd rather not lose half of my weekends anymore. I still watch every single one on TV but we only go to about 1 per year.

I haven’t been to a game in three years. If you had told me that Inwoukd have missed this many games in a row 10 years ago I would have called you crazy.
I drive a lot for work and the kids are pretty busy on weekends.
With the parking bullshite and traffic, I just never feel up for it. Sad because I get free ticket offers all the time

Meh...the last couple of years of the Miles era weren't much fun either.

Maybe it's just where I tailgate. But I've never had an issue with parking when football season comes around.

Parking would be at the bottom of the list of things that would stop me from attending LSU football.

I feel the pain(read getting old ,) of the consensus of posters in this thread, ironically, as much as I love TS and being inside TS, the worst part of the game is TS, again, I love it but it is one of the most uncomfortable stadiums I've ever been in, and I've been in a bunch of them

I’m still as excited as ever about football, but just enjoy watching it on TV more now.

It's tough for me having to drive 4 hours in after a week of work and driving back Sunday before work so I'm starting to feel it, but still pumped....but to be fair I don't go to any games....me and my crew just tailgate which is what I'm there for. I usually make no attempt to find tickets

In the past 15 years LSU has done everything they could to drive away fans. The only reason fans did not go away was because the majority of teams in the past 15 years have been very good. It started with Skip putting up black posts everywhere inside campus and making it all pay parking, then Alleva with the no parking signs up and down Burbank, Nicholson and River Road. It really is a pain in the arse to go to games now. And for what, to sit in a tiny seat and listen to commercials the whole damn game?

NO - went from 12 to 8 to 4 tickets over a 6 year period then dropped them all after the Miles debacle.
Many decades of run but game day experience NOT the same, beyond commercialized and barriers to fans seem to get greater every year.

I got that way in general with attending sports. I've been a Saints season ticket holder for the past 19 years and I didn't miss a game. I have a parking spot and would tailgate and it was always a blast but one day I just thought "meh" maybe I'll stay home for this one.

As I aged it got harder and harder to justify committing a whole day for a 3 hour game. So much other stuff to do around the house and with my kid.

I still have my tickets but now I give them to friends and family when I don't feel up to the long day. Still love Saints and LSU football but I now watch the majority on my big screen tv and it's all good.
