A 6-month-old baby was kidnaped and burned to death in north Louisiana overnight, police say.
According to the Natchitoches Police Department, police received a 911 call around 9:10 p.m. Tuesday that a baby had been taken from a home in Mayberry Trailer Park. A mother said that two unknown subjects came to her trailer and started beating on her door. The woman told police that she opened the door and was sprayed with a substance, possibly mace. She fled the home and later circled back to discover that the baby was missing.
Around 10:20 p.m., police received a report of a fire near Breda Avenue. At the scene, officers found a baby with burns to his body. The boy was transported to a hospital in critical condition. He was airlifted to another hospital where he later died.
The Louisiana Fire Marshal's Office confirmed that it is working with local authorities in this case. The investigation into the incident continues.LINK

Can we get through our morning at least before having to read that fricked up story?
Had to repeat to myself "It's STILL going to be a great day" 3x after reading that headline OP. Damn.
I need to go hug my kids now.

Accounts of random, unidentified criminals doing horrific, high-profile acts are complete bullshite about 95% of the time from what I can tell

Yeah... I don't believe you, lady.
Most likely.... she shook/beat/whatever her baby, it died, she panicked, concocted this whole story, burned her baby then called the cops.
If true, she should die a VERY SLOW, VERY PAINFUL death. As soon as possible.

She may not have known the murderers but they know someone in common; definitely drugs
This beautiful baby didn’t even have a chance in life

Why was there no Amber Alert for this? Why do they only do Amber Alerts when it’s an estranged family situation? Probably trying to keep their successful return rate up since they know the parents aren’t going to hurt the child most likely.
