cabelas
what makes these worth the $300? If you got it like that and have some then good for you...i ain't hating. Just wondering what would make them worth hundreds more than an aluminum or stainless pair that you have to replace every few years.

I saw those last night in the bass pro catalog and laughed

$300?!?! They better fillet and cook the fish for you, too!

Got curious and read the cabelas reviews. The reviews seem to be mostly commercial guys in saltwater. If they feel they need $300 titanium pliers, who am I to argue. I'll keep buying my $30 rapalas and losing them overboard on Yucatan lake every two yrs.

You are going to have to bump this during the week when the offshore posters are back onshore and can defend their pliers...

Got them Van Staals, mayne

If they come with a window sticker I'm in. $300 is a small price to pay for letting strangers know you don't have any concept of a reasonable cost for goods.

Hell I don't think that yeti would even charge 3 hundo for a pair

I've fished with a guide that has 2 pair on his boat. Says he has never broken a pair and they were worth every penny.
Kind of like the high end ice chest, it might not make sense for the guy that fishes 10 12 times a year but for the hardcore guys you end up saving money in the long run.

Just like the Van Staal reels. High priced, but indestructible. A lot of people who use them are people wade fishing in salt water. Everything else would get destroyed. Still overpriced, but they are known to last. And just like a Yeti, you could find a $30 alternative....but is it built the same? Whether that's worth it or not is up to you.

Gotcha, that makes a little more sense

Market it towards the yeti crowd and will sell like hot cakes

I actually have a pair of Abel pliers. Had them now for around 15-20 years. Maybe more.
Lots of saltwater and freshwater wade fishing. They still look like they did the day I bought them.
I can’t say that they’re worth the money for everyone but they have been for me.

what makes these worth the $300?

These are the only pliers certified to work on yeti products. Worth it imo.
