That’s your opinion. This happens on this site frequently. Just because you state something is a fact doesn’t automatically make it a fact.

According to the experts, we are a far more talented team than Moo State. That is a fact. They have proven to be reliable in the past therefore it is ok to assume they will still be reliable. We are ranked 6th, they are ranked 25th. So it’s not MY opinion. It is the opinion of the people who are paid as experts on this subject.

They got crushed by Auburn and Georgia then beat Kentucky by 38, A&M on the road by 21, and almost beat Bama. They lost by 7 and scored 24 points. Have we scored 24 vs Bama combined in the last 3 years? They beat Louisville in their bowl game with a freshman QB in us first start.

They beat Kentucky. Ohhhh boyyy!!! They should have been handed the championship right then...

Give me a break. It’s fricking Kentucky.

Louisville was not a great team last year.

Try again.

He shouldn’t be considered dangerous. If we have good safeties (and we do), put a good QB spy on him and force him to beat you through the air.

I think he's a dangerous college football QB. He’s big, he’s athletic, he’s smart, he’s a mature senior and yes, he can throw the football enough.
Tebow was the same way, but he was surround by so many weapons, so we didn’t know exactly how great he was.
Fitz doesn’t have those weapons or that Oline and he’s still producing.
Am I call him Tebow 2.0? Absolutely not, but he’s a leader and with a few weapons he could be dangerous.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree, no problem with that.

That’s a good description of him. He is a lot like Tebow. I think Tebow was slightly better.

Look, I’m not saying he isn’t a good athlete. He is. I agree with most of your assessment about him. I’m just pointing out that with our talent, we should be able to stop him.

Am I saying it’s not possible at Sally’s for state to beat us? No. Of course it’s possible. I’m just saying that based on talent levels, they should never beat us like they did last year.

The team was simply unprepared and that is on coaching. They were properly coached, we were not.

So you don't think we have enough talent to win 10 games? What's your prediction?

So Troy didn't run all over us for most of the game, and the defense couldn't get off the field? Ok sammy

It is an opinion. Just because journalism majors at 247 rank prospects as 17 and 18 year olds doesn’t mean definitively that one group of players is factually better than another 3 to 4 years later. If it was, Miss. St. wouldn’t have beat the shite out of us by 30, finished with the same record as us, or have better odds according to Vegas to win the west this year than LSU.

What are the “experts” gonna say? Oh hey guys btw those rankings we did 3 years ago that you all pay for, they were drastically inaccurate. Are we ranked 6th in any polls? Is Vegas predicting us to be any good at all or is our o/u wins total 7.5?

Is Kentucky better than Troy? It’s funny, you didn’t mention the Miss St./Bama game

Perhaps...and perhaps they’re right to want a new HC at the helm.

So the offense didn’t score 0 pointsnin the first fricking have turn the ball over 5 times (2 Picks 2 fumble and loss of downs)? Didn’t stall at the Troy 18 yard line for a missed FG

They had under 400 yards total offense. Like 200 rushing yards as a team. It wasn’t great but how are you just ingorong how fricking bad the effense was?

The offense couldn’t score to save their lives.

The offense couldn’t stay on the field. Troy has 12 possession.

Scored 4 times.

Uh, actually, that’s exactly what it means. Can they be wrong about an individual player? Sure. But they have been consistently correct since the beginning of ranking players.

Ranking vs NFL draft

The more talented team wins the game over 90% of the time.

Hence, we should have won that game. We were the more talented team. There are of course outliers to that. We lost to two teams that were drastically lower in talent to us. That means there’s more going on than outliers.

If you can’t understand or won’t accept that we were far more talented than MSU and Troy last year and that THE frickING REASON WE LPST IS BECAUSE THE TESM WAS NOT PREPARED (not coached), then we are done. You are not intelligent enough to carry on a conversation about this with.

well the defense certainly didn't get any help from the offense seeing as how LSU went 0/9 on 3rd downs.

I'm not saying Orgeron interfering with Canada's gameplan is the reason, since the offense admittedly looked like canadas in the second half, but its never a good look when your coach admits he meddled with the offense in a game where his team didnt convert a single 3rd down. maybe O should have taken a page out of Les' book there and opted not to be so candid. you know that thing people begged the head coach to be for years?

You keep saying this, yet your article you linked as if it was some omg gotcha moment doesn’t say this. It did say that “Of the 32 first-round picks in Thursday's NFL draft, 14 were 3-star prospects or lower coming out of high school, including three former walk-ons.” Did you think I wouldn’t read it?

We weren’t “far” more talented than state no matter how many times you say it. Of course we were more talented than Troy. Most power 5 teams are. You do realize it’s possible not to be a fan of Coach O (which I’m not) and still think State had a better team last year than LSU right?

Fairly loaded in that they are ranked 25th in the nation based on talent whereas LSU is ranked 6th (you know, facts), or fairly loaded in that “well, they beat the shite out of us last year so they must be really good (even though they got their asses handed to them by every other team with a pulse)?

I think you are using the rankings CBS published which has us at 6th on a 5 year average. The 2018 roster is listed at 15th. Miss St's 5 year is 25th and current is 27th.

We were 2nd in talent in 2014 and finished 8-5 and unranked. 3rd in 2016 and finished 13th.

Interestingly, Bama was #1 the last 4 years and is 7th for 2018, being surpassed by:

1. GA
2. Ohio St
3. Texas
4. USC
5. Penn St
6. Clemson

Yes, I know the offense scored 21 points.

It also had 0 drives that were longer than 3 and a half minutes in a game where the defense was getting gutted and on the field most of the time and could have used a breather, and two turnovers.

By the way, we’re on the same side here.
