Bama was dealing with a rash of injuries.

Why do you think that team that lost to auburn and that team that suffocated Clemson looked so different?

Because they were.

That’s not how Vegas sets odds. They set odds based on how people vote versus how they can best guarantee they make a profit off that vote. Vegas doesn’t give a shite who is actually the better team.

They are fairly loaded. They are typically underestimated (as they mostly should've been in the past). However, I think they are going to be really good this year.

I keep telling people that. They are all around better and more talented than they've ever been in any previous year. They have a top 10-15 defensive unit, and the offense will get even scarier because of their new HC. Fitzgerald will become a heisman caliber QB under him. I can easily see them finishing 10-2 this year.

That doesn’t make him a good QB. He has accuracy issues.

It does make him a good QB. Completing 4 less passes per 100 attempts than Etling means he has accuracy issues? He accounted for 29 total td’s. What’s LSU’s record last year with 11 more touchdowns?

Once you accept that as fact (and it is) you will realize that Mississippi State was not that good of a team last year.

That’s your opinion. This happens on this site frequently. Just because you state something is a fact doesn’t automatically make it a fact.

They looked like shite against every good team they played against last year.

They got crushed by Auburn and Georgia then beat Kentucky by 38, A&M on the road by 21, and almost beat Bama. They lost by 7 and scored 24 points. Have we scored 24 vs Bama combined in the last 3 years? They beat Louisville in their bowl game with a freshman QB in us first start.

Careful. You are going to piss off Ashlsu. He thinks having an opinion that State will be good next year is a double secret pro O agenda.

they also have to come to tiger stadium, and Tiger Ree told me that first year coaches can't have success.

Oh poor Bama, lost a couple/few Linebackers and they lost a game and played another close? But they were different when their players returned?

LSU had to have a Dlineman play every snap of a game and had 4 dlinemen for 3 positions for another and that is not supposed to be mentioned or it is considered an excuse? Was LSU different when players returned?

Was LSU playing Auburn or Troy in head games?

I don’t really Blame the MSU loss on anything besides bad luck with our DLine.

Lawrence out pregame
Alexander hurt in game
Farrell ejected in game
Herron still suspended.

Losing 4/6 of your DL is gonna hurt vs a quality opponent.

But you don’t get to use depth as an excuse against a Sunbelt team.

No the offense sucked against Troy.

I am Saying the defense isn’t an excuse

We scored 0 points against a Sunbelt team in the first half, and the offense gave them the ball on like the 35

I dont Think 24 points is really all that bad, especially considering the dimple deep in our territory and the offense being basically null and void for most of the game.

Oh and the Defense gave the offense the ball inside the 10.

But yeah it was Aranda sucking.

No the offense O was ducking around with.

Offense lost that game

Don’t bother explaining it to the O apologist. They will never admit that Orgeron failed in any way at anything. To them, he is the equivalent to football Jesus. He walks on gumbo, raises old coaches from the dead, and hangs out

with a liar and a thief

Now Fitzgerald did have a total of 984 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns to go along with the nearly 1800 passing and 15 passing touchdowns. Dude averaged 6+ yards rushing.

That’s not a QB. That’s a running back put into the QB position who is allowed to throw the ball sometimes.

Maybe I should rephrase my wording. He is not an NFL caliber QB. I suppose in college, a run heavy QB works. In the NFL, that gets you killed.

Unless he gets better at passing, he will not see significant play time in an NFL game.

Was John Bond a good QB? He sure as shite racked up some yards again us and kicked our arse several years s in a row.

I see what you’re saying and I probably agree to an extent. He’ll be coached different and possibly put in a system where he can succeed. We’ll have to wait and see.

BUT..

If we’re talking college football and not about what he may or may not do in the nfl, then he’s pretty dangerous.
LSU has to play him in college, so he’s definitely someone to discuss.
