247Sports national analyst Brad Crawford has combed through the annals of the last four decades of college football and picked 10 teams every fan loved to hate, single-season powerhouses that rested on immense talent advantages and playing under pressure. 10) MICHIGAN (1997)
9) ALABAMA (2012)
8) OKLAHOMA (2017)
7) OHIO STATE (2002)
6) NOTRE DAME (1993)

I can DEF see why that Miami team was hated, not only was that arguably the best single-season team of the decade but a lot of the marquee players were knuckleheads and outlaws, some of the coaches too hell why wasn't any of the 80s Oklahoma teams ranked within the top 10? Switzer and the team were knuckleheads as well fun times

People hate Florida more than Notre Dame?

What did the Sooners do in 2017 that warrants being included?

List makes sense for the most part, with the exception of 1996 Florida. Guess people disliked spurrier, but that’s about it.
02 Ohio st makes sense because they’re probably the worst bcs champion and got lucky on a few plays that season (weird 4th and short Hail Mary for a td against Purdue iirc, pi against Miami).

Florida State and Nebraska dominated the 90s while their players were getting arrested on a regular basis, but none of their teams were more hated than these three?

And then still claiming they were the better team after losing to Texas
Poor sportsmanship will get you your fair share of hate

Odd choice for a hated ND team.
I can think of at least three or four that would be more hated over the last forty years.

Surprised it wasn't our 08 team

That 2002 Ohio State team had a bunch of NFL guys on it, and they don't get the credit they deserve.
But yes, Krenzel wasn't good and Tressel-Ball isn't fun to watch

I remember that 2002 OSU season
Their performance at Purdue that year was probably the single worst performance in the last 3 decades of OSU football and they still pulled it out of their butt on some miracle Hail Mary bomb in late Q4

It wasn't a Hail Mary, it a actually stopped to be a 2 yard crossing route to the tight end but the only open receiver was on a deep post.
