That's right you pale poser. That's the ticket. You guys keep this shite up while not proposing a SINGLE party platform policy and see how it works out.
Meanwhile, that magnificent orange bastard is reshaping the country and the world.

Former President Obama has been quietly meeting one-on-one with at least nine prospective Democratic 2020 presidential candidates.
Obama has met with Sens. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Obama’s former Vice President Joe Biden, and former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, D, people briefed on the meetings confirmed to Politico.
Those same sources say he is eager to play a role in counseling key players in the Democratic Party and helping to shaping the party’s future

The meetings have been held at Obama’s personal office of the World Wildlife Fund in Washington, D.C., and even though he wants to remain indirectly involved, Obama is not expected to endorse any candidates in the 2020 race until after a nominee emerges, according to the report.
Sources said Obama has been advising those considering a run for the White House that they should continue talking about investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election because it sticks with voters in the long run

Not likely the dems will soon be known as the party of new ideas.
But keep listening to the knucklehead who cost you the House and Senate. It will be different this time.

So, he says to keep talking about the Russian collusion?
That happened ON HIS WATCH?

Yet just a couple of days ago here on the board we actually had a handful of people on here defending Obama's "he's keeping a low profile as he should" mantra.

Pleeeeeease let this be true and the candidates follow up on his advice. Most of the polls I've seen show the American citizen doesn't give a frick about this (my guess is because the original theme was "Trump colluded with Russians" but they've had to move the goal posts many times in order to just keep the basic narrative of "Russian collusion" going, and that's become increasingly transparent to all those not completely party biased).

So the Dem platform will not be economic growth, immigration reform, or social issues - instead it’ll be Muh Russians.

After what the DNC and CNN did to the Bernie Campaign last time I'm amazed Bernie is still with them. What a bitch.

This. Although I do not agree with him politically, I respected the way he's "walked the walk" throughout his career. His shining moment was at the DNC when he should have un-suspended his campaign in light of the evidence that had come out against the DNC and HRC's campaign (see: what "collusion" really looks like). He wouldn't have beaten Trump but he had a chance to go down in history as a Joan of Arc against HRC's domination of the DNC, instead he will be known as just another person that failed to win a party nomination. In a few years his campaign and its potential will have gone from a footnote to someone anyone hardly remembers.

If the GOP draws a distinction between meddling and collusion, this will Backfire.
There's no doubt Russia meddled. But there's no collusion.
The Dems hope to conflate the two and have done a pretty good job of it so far.
The GOP can steal their thunder by acknowledging Russia's attempts and put measures in place to punish and prevent Russia from doing it again, and point out these are steps Obama should have taken when IC told him as far back as 2014 that Russia was planning to meddle in the election.
