So the guy is looking for something on side of the road. The sheriff pulls up, gets out of his car, and without saying anything, tases the guy and later shoots him?
Not saying it didn't happen like that, but sounds like we may be missing some key parts to the story

When police are trained to approach traffic stops with a hand on the holster, to draw even if not drawn upon there is a problem. Our society puts law emforcement lives above ordinary citizens, downvote me but its true and a problem.

This board has always been heavily critical of the militarization/over use of police force. It’s the black lives matter crew that hijacked legitimate criticisms, made it about only their race, and then their hateful rhetoric got innocent police officers killed in cold blood
So yeah, there can be a police problem along with acknowledging that a certain segment of society has made their jobs a hell of a lot tougher

Basically 100% accurate. Plus the BLM made it out that every single Black Guy that gets shot was 100% innocent no matter what the situation.
Long story short we have extremely poor trained LE in this country when it comes to shoot/don’t shoot let alone basic firearms handling and marksmanship.

There is a lot we don't yet know; something is rotten here. Highly likely the Deceased mouthed off, did not comply, and gave rise to suspicion of danger on the Officer's part.
That said, the Deputy should go to jail, lest mitigating and extraordinary evidence come to light. And set an example for other aspiring individuals who believe they have what it takes to carry heat and call their fellow citizens to legal account. High bar to take that responsibility.

I don't know if the story in the OP is absolutely true because of course, it's only from one point of view.
But I will say this. One of the fricking dumbest things I've repeatedly seen and heard people/cops say is shite like, "if he would have just listened" or "if he would have stopped moving"..........Now, yes. I agree with that theory.............but they often say it about someone who has been or is being tazed.
Have any of the people who say this ever been tased? You don't just "stop moving" while you're being tased or even immediately after.
The other absurd one is saying a person who is getting the shite kicked out of them wouldn't "stop moving".

Full story needs to be released. And dash cam footage. Body cam footage if available. If there's not more to the story, this cop needs to be in prison on death row. Period.
But this just has the feel of one of those "what lies beneath" type of stories. Sounds like things are being left out... You Mississippi guys and gals keep us posted on this please. As said earlier in thread, it's a white guy got shot so the national media won't even mention it.
