And what are you favorite dishes?

The rocket shrimp are the real deal. Just had a very satisfying lunch. Great little hole in the wall.

Solid place. We stop by once in a while for lunch, and it's always good.

Debris fries
Rocket Pasta
Cajun Spaghetti
Hamburger Steak
Mississippi Mud

I really enjoy it... would eat there more if it was closer to where I live.

It’s good stuff. Out of the way, but it’s really good. Wish they served booze.

I always enjoy it, they take a lot of pride in what they serve. Because of their proximity to a church they can't get a liquor license. However, we frequently bring a bottle of wine and a corkscrew from home if we are going for dinner, they have zero issue with this and no corkage fee.

It’s great, but unfortunately too far away. Soup and poboy for me every time. Usually rocket shrimp and some kind of chowder or bisque

I wouldnt judge a non-burger place by their burger. Their rocket shrimp pasta (anything rocket shrimp), chicken jasmines, soups, fish, lagniappe, and desserts are all serious food items. Just giving my opinion. Rocket pasta is on a different level. And it comes with bread, side, and salad for $14.99.

Prices are not bad for 2 servings worth of good food.

This an East Baton Rouge thing? Gnarly Barley is literally across the street from a church..

Ate there at least 2 times a week for several years when I worked at the guitar shop. They had the best wings I’ve still ever had to this day. Also best hamburger steak. BEST.

I’ve never heard of that and don’t know if I believe it. I can think of 2 places immediately that are next door to two different churches that sell alcohol.

Man, I fricking love their burgers.

Double BBQ Bacon Cheddar on Pretzel Bun is my go to when I order from there.

Debris fries are killer as well.

I think it's the best "not well known" restaurant in BR.

Its one of the only “hole in the wall” type of places in Baton Rouge that I can think of honestly.

Jasmine's is really good, but their location and the never-ending construction on Jones Creek doesn't do them any favors.

I try to get out that direction and meet work friends for lunch there on Fridays when I have a little more latitude on time.

I'm a mark for their rocket shrimp.
