Spanking a child or even harshly reprimanding them is one thing.
But legit beating your kid and hitting them in the face? That's over the line.

Anybody who has to hit their kid like that to get them to behave and respect people has been doing a pretty shitty job at child rearing.

So, the opinion of the vast majority here is, it's ok that the cop disciplined his 14 year old girl the way he did.
That included slapping her face, pulling her hair, using his belt, ond PUNCHING HER IN THE FACE.
So it seems fair to say that if a grown man punches your wife or mom in the face, you have his back. THAT'S my point! The kid got mouthy to a teacher. I agree completely that a serious punishment is in order.
But do NOT PUNCH A CHILD IN THE FACE. I believe that if "Officer I Proved What a Man I Am" got called to a domestic scene, anyone who punched someone in the face would be arrested, as well they should. But Father-of-the-year here gets a pass, right? I just don't understand, but it makes me sad.

You and your ilk is what's wrong with today's America. You can do your time out, a "stern" talking to, or whatever, but a good arse whipping is the only discipline tool that works. I know from experience. Not beatings or child abuse, but a good arse whipping.

I came in kind of expecting to defend the cop because i have zero problem with spankings, but what that cop did was not spanking. It was fricked up.

You're right. The people thinking the employee just sat there out of laziness, indifference or whatever proves it, too. It was clear why she didn't do anything (even not pregnant, what was she going to do against some out of control a-hole who is trained to always have the upper-hand!?) She was the one that called to report it the minute he was gone, too.
Of course, as stated multiple times, some of the most outspoken aren't parents, but are experts on how to raise kids.
I will always be grateful for having an easy kid to raise.
