People are rude as hell when you get married

Seriously! We are getting married in a few weeks and peoples true trashy/rude side has come out. How is it ok to invite yourself to damn wedding. We have both had multiple people at our offices assume they were invited. It starts as pleasant conversation...when is the date? where are yall having it? Then BAM...OH CAN'T WAIT!!!! Um excuse me...where in any of that conversation did I invite your arse?? Then today when catching up with one of her acquaintances that she felt obligated to invite, my fiance asked if she was coming and if she had a PLUS 1... She replied yes and that she would be bringing her fricking kids. First off, we said plus 1 not bring your damn family... second off we don't want kids we don't even know running around our reception. Rant over
Inb4: Don't do it.... seriously the joke is played out at this point

It sounds like you just invited the entire OT to your wedding. When and where?

I’m delighted when I don’t get wedding invites.
Have to be really really close friends or family

We didn't invite any people who would do shite like this for that reason.
We had one couple ask to bring their kids, and were very gracious about it, and we of course agreed and the kids were great.
Helps to be older and to have purged most trashy people from your life too.
Hang in there, it'll be over soon.

Tell them no? Seems like an easy solution

Marriage is almost as stupid as having an elaborate planned wedding.
Oh.. Don't do it.

Tell them the reception is adults only

Some would call it rather rude to go around bragging about your party to folks with no intention of inviting them.

you sound like a bitch. Nut up and tell the other bitch she's not invited and kids definitely aren't invited.

Tell them it's a cash bar. They'll definitely bail.

Did you put no kids or adults only on the invite? We did and no kids were there.

Just think, a few years ago you would not have been able to have a same sex marriage. Just be thankful.
