Hitting .400
Posted on 4/4/18 at 9:51 pm to K9
In one game? Natural Hat Trick in hockey comes to mind, since I'm watching a game right now. 3 goals in one period.
4-4 with 4HR in baseball probably.

They were debating this on Get Up this morning. Personally I’m torn between:
1. Hitting a hole in one.
2. Hitting for the cycle in Baseball.
What do you think it is?
I’ve hit a hole in one and I doubt I’ve ever broken 100. So it’s definitely number 2 since I doubt My bitch arse could even stand in the box against a major league pitcher throwing heat, much less hit the damn ball.

Running a sub 4 minute mile.

Hitting for the cycle is kind of a dumb arbitrary feat.
Hitting five triples is harder and better

Jumping over 30 feet.
The world record for the long jump was basically the same for 40 years.
Then Beamon goes to sea level and obliterates the record...and it takes another human 25 years to better it.
In meters...
8.13 (26' 8.1") Jesse Owens (USA) 1935
8.21 Ralph Boston (USA) 1960
8.24 Ralph Boston (USA) 1961
8.28 Ralph Boston (USA) 1961
8.31 Igor Ter-Ovanesyan (Ukraine, Soviet Union) 1962
8.31 Ralph Boston (USA) 1964
8.34 Ralph Boston (USA) 1964
8.35 Ralph Boston (USA) 1965
8.35 Igor Ter-Ovanesyan (URS) 1967
8.90 Bob Beamon (USA) 1968
8.95 (29' 4.4") Mike Powell (USA) Tokyo 1991
Someday, someone might jump over 30 feet but it's going to be the rarest thing in the history of sports.
Sometimes humans hit their sports limit.

What so crazy about Powell’s jump was it was not even the best series of jumps of the night. Lewis went off that night and Powell got lucky as the wind died and it was the perfect jump.

Unassisted triple play
I did this at 8 years old in Dixie youth pitching machine. I was playing short with runners on first and second. Line drive hit to my left, caught, my momentum beats runner back to second and the dumbass on first just keeps running. I causally jog over and step on the bag

Winning the Grand Slam in golf.

It was the IAAF World Championships in Tokyo 1991. When Powell hit the jump people were just stunned. Lewis had this look of what just happened. What’s even crazier was Lewis was basically on a retirement tour that and the Olympics were going to be it.
I’llget downvoted to oblivion on this, but Lewis is the GOAT of IAAF history. What he did and for the length of time he did it puts him over Bolt.

I was always shocked that Lewis wasn't the one to better Beamon.
But he pushed Powell to get that jump that night.

You're thinking of three consecutive goals before any other player on either team gets one

Golf's Grand Slam The proof is that it's never been done: i.e. a golfer has never won The Masters, The US Open, the Open and the PGA in one year.
The only golfer who has won "a" grand slam was Bobby Jones who won the grand slam of his era:
US Open
US Amateur
British Open
British Amateur
