He was shot from 3 feet away. Gasser was a tall guy in a small car like that when he reaches his arm over it would almost reach the window. Tells me McKnight was about 2 feet from the window when he got shot. Prob backed up when he saw the gun.

The ladder was in the passenger seat. It was one of those folding ladders. It extended from the floor board to pretty much headrest on passenger side.

Gasser didn’t have any control over his anger and thought he had a loophole to get away with killing him because McKnight touched his vehicle. Typical case of guy being pissed off at the world and wanting to take it out on somebody.

The bolded is true, but I don't think he was thinking of a loophole. I think he was just a person with insane anger problems and only thought one thing and that was he needed to kill the guy pissing him off.

Did the evidence show that there was no way he could have driven away (or even have tried to so so) at the point McKnight got out of the car and started to approach his? Seems that would be the most reasonable action.

Random question - When all of this initially happened, wasn’t there a witness that said gasser stood over him and ‘finished him’? I know that didn’t actually happen, but wasn’t that reported at the scene by an eyewitness?
