We haven't seen them in the same place. Randy wasn't subpoenaed either.

I believe this case gets turned over on appeal and goes to a retrial.

I didn’t follow closely but it appears that the verdict was correct in my opinion, but allowing the admission of the previous road rage incident is going to get the verdict overturned.

It could. We'll see. I think he's convicted again without it if so.

If he’s my client, I’m preparing him for a minimum a manslaughter conviction - in which case he’s looking at a sentence of at least 20 yrs.

Outright acquittal not happening. Hot headed dumbass

You called it.

This will happen and his defense should be better prepared next time . I think convinction is overturned on appeal and next jury is hung on manslaughter

Gasser's previous road rage incident pretty much showed that he was an a-hole and a lunatic. They were both idiots for escalating this incident, but Gasser was the pussy who shot the guy to death.

Dude was a ticking time bomb, if it wasn’t McKnight it would have eventually been someone else.

one incident, 10 years ago. That isn't a pattern. I did a lot of dumb things 10 years ago that I haven't repeated.

Allowing that in this case was a terrible idea.

Yeah, what would a previous incident where he followed and physically attacked a man on the same street due to a traffic issue have to do with this?

"Shilling was shaken as he recounted his encounter with Gasser. Shilling said that in 2006, he was traveling down Behrman Highway when he saw Gasser driving erratically.

“He cut in front of me,” Shilling said. “He almost hit my bumper.”

Shilling said he called the business number listed on Gasser’s truck, and that Gasser was the one who answered the call, too.

“He said I ought to mind my own, (expletive) business,” Shilling recalled. “And when he looked over he saw me talking on the phone, he gave me finger gestures.”

Shilling said he hung up the phone. However, Gasser began following him into a gas station.

“(He) came beside me, spit twice through his passenger window into my truck – on me and in my truck,” he said. Shilling said he tried to block the punches that Gasser reportedly threw at him. “He did hit me in the head twice and in the shoulder, at which time he was drawing back to hit more and I said, ‘I'm calling the police on you!’”

Shilling said it was walking distance from where McKnight was shot and killed. The matter ended with Shilling filing a police report with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and pursuing charges.

“I wouldn't be here today. So I guess I'm very lucky that I kept my cool,” he said."

I'll just go ahead and say it, I used the shite out of Prieur in a lot of murders and robberies and never had a single one prevail on appeal. You can get almost anything in if you set it up properly.

Also, Prieur evidence of other drug rips and robberies in the same neighborhood was a big part of the case against the first brother in that murder/shooting that Corkfather was a victim in, but the Supreme Court recently ruled that the State can't use it against the second brother who still has to be tried.

Maybe I am misunderstanding your point, but it seems like your two paragraphs contradict each other.

It's just two separate facts/thoughts. You really can get almost anything in.

I wanted to point out that it was used in the Corkfather case for those that didn't know. I think the issue with the second brother is that for a few of the previous crimes, the description wasn't quite close enough on him.

Got it.

I know very little about Corko's situation.

ETA: Seems like more of a matter of law for it counting against Gasser and matter of fact for the second guy in the Corko case. Am I following?
