IMO, Gasser seems like a much bigger a-hole to me than Hayes. Hayes seemed a little bit dumb. Gasser seems like a malicious bastard.

The ONLY reason it was manslaughter is because it was proven Gasser and McKnight had plenty opportunity to end this, neither did.

So how much of 25 years will Hayes end up serving? Doesn't using a gun have an effect on when he's eligible for parole?

Ronald Gasser was just escorted down the hallway outside the courtroom by deputies. He was silent, emotionless.

75%. No parole because of it being a crime of violence.

He’s fricked. Forensics don’t really match up to his account of Mcknight in Gasser’s car. If he’s my client, I’m preparing him for a minimum a manslaughter conviction - in which case he’s looking at a sentence of at least 20 yrs. Outright acquittal not happening. Hot headed dumbass

I used to love Moe's as a westbank youth 25 years ago. Glad to see them still around

I have no opinion on this case

Way to go out on a limb for a compromise verdict on a case like this. No one else saw it coming.

The decision to allow the testimony of the prior incident will certainly be part of the appeal, but I don’t know if it’s enough to overturn.

So of the four options he got the second worst. I think the verdict is probably right based on what I have read.
quote:

Prior to being dismissed for deliberations, jurors were instructed by 24th Judicial District Judge Ellen Shirer Kovach that they had four options regarding a verdict: To find Gasser guilty as charged of second-degree murder; guilty of manslaughter, guilty of negligent homicide, or to find him not guilty.

Haha...Gasser's previous road rage incident pretty much showed that he was an a-hole and a lunatic. They were both idiots for escalating this incident, but Gasser was the pussy who shot the guy to death.
