Cops passing you going way over speed limit

Spinoff from passing cop thread
Drove down bluebonnet between Burbank and Nicholson earlier where it gets down to 30 mph speed limit. I was going 35 or so in right lane. It’s a speed trap and I don’t want a ticket. Cop flies by me doing 50 at least, but with no lights on. frick that guy. Being a cop doesn’t give you the right to speed anymore than we do unless you’re headed to an emergency. And this happens daily

I like it. Means I'm not getting pulled over.

You realize there are situations that require police to respond without lights and sirens, right?

If it pisses you off so bad, speed up and follow his arse, then throw a citizen's arrest his way when he finally pulls over.

That's when you jump in behind him baw. It's like your own police escort.

That speed limit is a bigger scam than Staring.

Actually being a cop DOES give you the right to speed.
A situation that doesn't require lights doesn't necessarily mean its not an emergency situation.

There's a 98% chance he was responding to a call. Running code with lights and sirens makes people get stupid and frick shite up. They don't run code unless absolutely necessary.

I like when they flip their lights on, drive through the intersection, and turn them off.

One of Life's double standards.

It's better than being on the interstate and coming up on a cop car going 5 mph below the speed limit.
I always pass them at EXACTLY the speed limit, but sometimes it causes quite a traffic jam because nobody has the cojones to go around him.

Again...same thing as the speeding.

It's amazing that half of the people on the road are allowed to keep their license.

Because they're responding to a call.

Oh sure, and a dog is always a threat unless neutralized with a gun.
