Titans and coach Mike Mularkey "mutually agreed to part ways."

We got to end the stream without a playoff win and get a new coach?

They'll probably go get Fisher again...lmao!

Come on Titans, make a good hire. They have a lot of young talent on that team.

I hear his name mentioned a lot and get that he comes from the GOAT’s coaching tree, but just don’t think he will be successful in his second attempt as a head coach. Weiss, Crenel, O’Brien and McDaniel. None of them have experienced great or consistent success as head coaches.

It's the right decision.

With no timeouts from about midfield, they decided to go for it (reasonable) and ran a running play. Think about that for a second.

Not surprising, the way he was mouthing off publically about being on the "hot seat".

The NFL is a tough business, not sure he even desires to be a Head Coach anymore.

Glad they didn't keep just because they made the playoffs and won a game

They’ll get shite on for this, but it’s absolutely the right call. His team wasn’t a good playoff team, the AFC was just garbage except at the very top. Here’s hoping they can put together an exciting team for the future

Apparently wasn't willing to bring in a new OC.

He did a decent job building the team but they need someone more creative and cutting edge.

McDeez, come on down.

It's between the Titans and Colts for him.

McDaniels wont go to Indy because of poor ownership and the health concerns of Luck he can't afford to flame out again and Indy has a history of instability without Peyton running the show.

Titans have an ex-NE guy running the front office and what seems to be stable ownership after Bud Adams passed away and his daughter is now in charge.

This is the perfect landing spot for McD. He will do wonders with Mariota and the roster is in good shape, plus the division is historically terrible.

So we get a playoff win AND get rid of Mularkey. This season was a success afterall.

I’d be fine with McDaniels. Just bring in ANYONE who can develop and utilize Mariota like the stud he is and that will be a good hire. I trust JRob to make the right call.

This move seems like they’ve got somebody like McD waiting in the wings.

The Titans wouldn’t have sniffed the playoffs in an AFC south with a healthy Luck and Watson. I couldn’t believe it when they retained him in the first place.

Good start to the week, 104.5 should be entertaining today.

Huge news. The team was topped out with Mularkey at the helm - especially with the division next year.

He was stubborn about keeping his staff. Loyalty is commendable but instead of only one person loosing their job (presumably Robisky) now everyone likely does.
