I dont care who the staff is, if we win 10+ games, I would be ecstatic for the players.

Auburn proved you have playoff chances with 2 losses.

Just cant lose to the troys.

I can look past alot of things, but a liar is someone I have no time for. There's no other way to explain it, he stood up at the podium and flat out lied to get fan support. Mine for the coach has run out.

How many threads will Irate Tiger 141 start about people being upset about the OC hire?

I hope 10-2 happens.

But what I really want is for you not to come back here and tell us 8-4 is still a good season.

10 wins as in 9-3 and win a bowl game? nah. frick that. We fired Les for that.

10 wins and beat bama? Yea, sure.

But this is the "coaching changes" board, not the "fictional scenarios for LSU football" board.

It's not going to happen, which is why people are upset.

I'm not sure LSU wins 6+ games.

If they can do that I’ll gladly kiss your friend’s arse and give him 10 days to draw a crowd.

If the team comes out and spits, stumbles, farts and falls though, will said friend finally see that beating up on and setting offensive records against The Little Sisters of The Poor during an interim year and beating a handful of conference opponents that either had already fired their coach or had coaches dead in the water this past season wasn’t exactly a reason be fired up about this whole situation?

No chance it happens. And even if he did let ensminger do his job, still won't win more than 8 games.

I mean, AU lost 4 games including their bowl to UCF...not exactly the best example. LSU fans would be pissed in that situation as well. Plenty of AU fans are not happy.

If they win 10 games or more, then I will change my feelings. Until I see the offense with my own eyes, I am going to look at this like it is at this point. One of the worst hirings in the history of college football.

I'm talking strictly resume vs the type of job. Most unqualified hire of a top flight program I've ever seen

There are some assumptions baked into your question that can be difficult to illustrate. Maybe if I re-frame the question you'll start to see some of the weaknesses:

"LSU has decided to run a team without a head coach this year. How many of you will change your opinion of the position of head coach if the coordinators are able to win 10+ games this year?"

Your question implies that you see none of the readily-apparent weaknesses of Coach O - his inability to bring anything strategically on either side of the ball because he's only been a position coach, and his allegedly toxic management style. It also suggests a potential lack of appreciation for what it takes to get from fielding simply an above average team (which could potentially win on talent alone about 8 to 10 games) and a truly championship-caliber team that can consistently (once every 3 years) make the playoffs.

Both your question and mine technically do not state impossibilities. It is possible that the team could win more than 10 games next year with Coach O and E as OC, just like it is possible a team with no HC could win.

However, by taking either action, LSU is relying on an unlikely event happening, i.e. success despite a huge leadership vacuum.

I would be ecstatic. I would put that at about a 10% chance of happening though

Depends.

Do we hang 30 or more one every team that we should?

Or does a dominant defense drag our offense to a few of those 10 wins?

If one of the losses is Bama by 2 scores, is it 10-0 or is it 24-14?

Are either of the 2 losses achieved by going conservative on offense with the lead in the 3rd quarter? Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory?

It will not change my feelings towards 0 is LSU goes undefeated and wins the NC. He’s a liar and have zero respect for liars.
