This!

I can’t believe some of you are actually saying O deserves 4-5 seasons of “building” his program. Kirby has UGA in the playoff in season 2. Urban won it all with UF in season 2. Lincoln Riley is in the playoff in year 1. Quit settling for mediocrity. LSU is one of the top jobs out there. If O has nothing but 9-10 win seasons with shite losses to the likes of Mississippi State, no SEC titles, and no playoff appearances, move the frick on. I’m rooting for O but damn dude, you have to win and win quickly.

He's got 2 more seasons to win the west at the very least or we should be looking elsewhere.

Not really. Do you not follow the threads on here? There will be at least three O debate threads tomorrow and a few Les fights within O debate threads tomorrow. It's fcking pathetic that this is all people have to do day in and day out.

3 full seasons is plenty of enough time to determine the state and direction of where this program will head

No it isn't...at least not necessarily.

If the program devolves, sure. But, LSU could go 9-3 next year and accomplish a step forward. Next year's schedule is way tougher than this year. That would be progress. If year 3 yields say a 10-2 record, there is no chance you can fire Oregon at that point...even if he has failed to win the West, make a playoff, or beat Bama.

If at the end of year 3, He has gone 9-3, 9-3, 10-2 and the recruiting is then clipping at a top 6ish type of program, he'll get an extension and rightfully so.

You just agreed with what he said. He didn’t say 3 years is enough time to win [insert whatever accomplishment], he said enough time to see what direction things are headed.

Hell, Lincoln Riley is in at year 1.

To answer OP, anything less than 9-3 in 2018 means tht at anything less than 9-3 in 2019 is grounds for termination.

I totally agree with you. That’s why I mainly stay on Saints talk instead of hearing all of the same crap regurgitated daily on Tiger Rant.

I say he has to beat Bama and make the playoffs in 2018.

Because 10 is twice 5. 4 or 5 is fair.

3 full years. As long as we trend up in this timeframe I’ll support him.

That's just not accurate. None of the things in the OP would have been accomplished, and without a SEC west title, nothing would be guaranteed. In fact, he would have barely accomplished what Miles was accomplishing when things were getting "stale".

The bottom line is that the deciding years will be in years 4-6 which he would definitely get in that scenario.

I think every new coach should be given three full years before a potential firing.

Let's fire O because he allows about half the team to wear those god awful purple panti-hose. (The White ones look much better)

As bad as they look, it looks worse if only half the fricking team is wearing them. All or none..........

10 regular season wins should be the first and foremost goal for LSU.

Sprinkle in every once in a while
Division championship
A trip to college football playoff

Considering we play in a division with the best program in college football firing a coach every 3 to 4 years for not beating winning a title every year is just not reality
