Damn. I guess that food stamp money isn’t making it to him.

The next day, Espiricueta asked the student about her letter to Santa. The girl said she wanted a ball, rather than a doll, so both she and her brother could play with the toy. She told the teacher she wanted eggs for food.
Damn

Anybody that can prove they are poverty stricken can obtain an EBT card in all fifty states. And you can eat on that $180 -$235 a month depending on which state you live in. You won't eat like a Royal but you can put food in your belly all month if you're frugal. There is no reason for anybody in 2017 America to not eat. This little girl and her brother need social services to get involved asap.

frick me man, seeing that note actually got me choked up
I've been stressing about "money" all day because my job/savings don't look quite how I would like them to, and here's a little kid without a damn blanket.
Shame on me, and props to the teacher for doing something about it.

Reminds me of my nephew. He's such a sweet, humble kid. All he asked me for for Christmas was a pair of shoes.
Does anyone know anything about these "Z02's" and where I can get them?

Everyone knows that the first rule when making wishes is to wish for unlimited wishes first.

Maybe the kid’s deadbeat parents shouldn’t have had a kid they couldn’t afford to care for.

I hear stories about kids going hungry at my son's school. One kid never had a snack for snack time. Breaks my heart. Wish every school would allow people to help those who really need it.

I think about the less fortunate often and it saddens me when I do. It makes it doubly sad when it's a child and during the holidays.
If we had to be reminded of all the people worldwide who don't even have basic necessities to live, we probably couldn't function with the guilt it would cause since we Americans have so much.
I thank God daily for all he blesses me with and I try not to ever be ungrateful.

It sends me over the fricking edge that there’s people like this in complete need who aren’t getting it, when we have assholes driving Mercedes and beamers totally playing the system.

Edinburgh, TX. Is this child even an American citizen to be attending our schools? Not to be a hard arse, but if you sneak across the boarder, or blindly sent your kids to fend for themselves, without a plan, than I don’t feel so bad. The parents should be disciplined for not providing. Sure, the child did not ask for this life, but many have succeeded when put in the same scenario.
