Give me founders too in terms of availability, affordability, variety, and overall quality.

Hard to beat this list:

CBS
KBS
FBS
Harvest
Backwoods
Double Trouble
All Day
Centennial

I don't really buy there IPAs anymore but I used to and they are solid. Redankulous, and their porter, and their Imperial Stout are all really good as well.

It took a long time to get to the end of your post, but it was worth it to downvote.

CBS and KBS are fantastic, but don't have the availability or affordability. And as for variety, at least in New Orleans, the only year round beers you can get are variations of an IPA, FBS, or the wee heavy

Gonna have to go with Trillium or Treehouse for this.

No, not based on what the OP is talking about, i.e. readily available beers.

Of course Treehouse and Trillium are consistently amazing, but you're not picking that up from the grocery store in Texas.

I live in Abita Springs now and it's just ironic that I live to one of the biggest "micro" breweries in the country that I barely drink. I would be in heaven if they started producing something I REALLY liked.

Look at the ABV of this line up. No other line can come close.

High ABV doesn't equal great beer.

They've failed in trying to compete with the smaller guys. Probably why their market share is being eaten up by those same small guys. They have the equipment and resources to make great beer, but for some reason, refuse to brew great ales and focus almost completely on meh lagers. The ales they do brew aren't that great either.

Maybe they either don't know how to brew good beer (which i doubt) or they just refuse to change, which is more likely.
