I love beer and have tried quite alot of them. I have come to the conclusion that the Lagunitas collection is just unmatched when you factor availability, quality, ABV content and variety.

As evidence I give you:

Little Sumpin
Little Sumpin Extra(Limited)
Sucks
Brown Shugga
Maximus

This isn't all of course but for me it's their best.
I just don't think any other brewer has such a solid lineup. What says you?

ETA: So I went to Beer Advocate and looked at the ratings for the main brewers mentioned so far.

Founders: 3.95
Lagunitas: 3.93
Sierra Nevada: 3.90
Oskar: 3.89
Victory: 3.84
Terrapin 3.81
Abita: 3.68

Lagunitas only beat by Founders. I'm not familiar with them. I'm not sure they are sold in my area? I will look around this evening.

I agree. I'm always pretty pleased with whatever I get from them.

Nothing against Lagunitas, but no.

I'd say probably Sierra Nevada.

Or Oskar Blues.

No. Points are automatically deducted for being owned by Heineken.

Sierra Nevada:

Pale Ale
Torpedo
Tropical Torpedo
Celebration Ale (tGOAT Sierra Nevada)
Porter
Summerfest

etc.

I always think of Toppling Goliath as one of the best combinations of great beers and a well rounded selection.

Mornin Delight
KBBS
Assassin
SR-71
Pseudo Sue
King Sue
Pompeii
Golden Nugget

I'm going with Sierra Nevada's portfolio if we're only considering nationally distributed craft(y) beers.

SN's diversity hits almost every single style of beer, and almost all of them are good to great. Lagunitas is more of a one or two trick pony, imo.

Their stuff is all middle of the road.

Victory Brewing, Oskar, Ale Smith, SN, Real Ale and Founders are all better overall.

Great call.

I know availability is mentioned, but Russian River top to bottom is legit. It's relatively available on the west coast.

I dislike all of their beers. They even managed to ruin a Pils. Has to be a hops issue. I just can't get past the old lady perfume/Pinesol taste.

Look at the ABV of this line up. No other line can come close. Sierra Nevada is very over rated IMO the wrought iron ipa is one of the worst on the market.

Little Sumpin 7.5
Little Sumpin Extra(Limited) 8.7
Sucks 8
Brown Shugga 9.7
Maximus 8.2
