Dems: Would New York or California be as "moral" as Alabama?

Talk all you want about how close the vote was. We just elected a democrat in a DEEP red state. Would those states do the same thing if the roles were reversed?

LOL of course not. Especially since the Senate is so close.

I'd write in, wouldn't vote for the other guy. Seems like something like 20k people in AL (probably almost all traditional republicans) agree w that logic.

I was thinking about this last night (except mine was only California). And the answer imo would be the Republican would have 0% chance of ever winning in California.

It's the most radically insane state in the union.

Probably not in NY.

Because the Dem will have most likely worked for Goldman or JPMorgan.

Wait dont even count mine, I forget anything outside of NYC even exists.

NY State would and I think New York City just wouldn't even show up

That said don't think the candidate would even last to the election and be forced to step down.

They would. And, unlike Republicans, they would insist a sitting senator in that situation resign. And, unlike Republicans, they'd never nominate such an obvious lunatic as Roy Moore in the first place.

You almost elected a fricking known pedophile. You might want to not trumpet too loudly about your State's morality.

Add my home state of Massachusetts to the list. Ted Kennedy was responsible for a woman drowning and he swam away and didn't alert the authorities right away. The end result? A year later he ended up with 62% of the vote to hold his Senate seat. In Massachusetts it doesn't matter what you can do to help the state as long as you're a social liberal or are a Kennedy.

No they wouldn't and nor should they. Morals have no place in modern American politics. I'd vote for literally Hitler over a democrat if he was going to help lower my taxes.

Not sure and we have no way to know, thankfully. DNC corruption forced Hillary in, so I have my doubts. But just like there are moderate republicans, there are moderate democrats.

Now you're taking credit for the people of your state (not you) who didn't vote fora child molester?

And a Democrat wouldn't get this far - they'd resign when credible accusations of the level of Moore's came out, and the party would mount a write-in campaign to beat the Republicans.
